Finally getting around to my update for Soft Touch and my second time using them. Had to move my elderly Mom out here from the East Coast. She did not have a lot of items but enough that I needed movers to help me on the unpacking end. I was getting outrageous quotes from the movers affiliated with the moving pod company we used so I called Soft Touch again. My only concern was that I had no way to confirm the exact move-in date as I would not know when the furniture got here until 24 hours before its arrival. Soft Touch to the rescue! Everyone in the office is so nice, especially Kim. Not sure why folks have complaints about any of the office folks. I have never had a problem. They worked with me regarding the scheduling and rescheduling. The movers gave me plenty of notice so I could get over to meet them at my Mom's new place. They arrived on time, were very nice and fast! Ugh, forgot their names and can't find where I wrote them down. Some of my items arrived broken, the fault of the movers on the front end, NOT Soft Touch. The guys helped inform me and document the items. I sincerely hope that there will be no more moves in my future but if there are, I will ALWAYS call Soft Touch. read more

I chose this company because of the Groupon. Other moving companies were charging $400-$600 to move a single bedroom apartment from Chandler to Maricopa. Soft Touch charged $255 Groupon included. Estimated time of arrival was between 2-5pm. They called around 2 to say they would be late. They arrived at 5 exactly. They even offered a 3rd mover even though the Groupon was for 2. They completed my mother N laws move in 2 hours and 20 minutes and even with an additional stop to storage. I highly recommend these guys and will be using when I am ready to move my 5 bedroom! read more

This company is awesome! I bought a two hour two mover deal on Groupon & it was beyond worth every dollar!! Mark & Nick were a few hours early which was great, it gave me the extra time to start unpacking. When they showed up they were so kind, polite & ready to go! They wrapped everything that could get scratched broken along the way & hauled it in a matter of 45 mins. It only took them 30 mins to carry everything up to my new second story apartment! Great service! I contacted asking some questions and mentioned one of their Groupon's I had been interested in being sold out...and without me asking, they stated they could honor that cost for me! Very helpful when you have a budget for an unforeseen move!! These guys got all my stuff moved within the 3 hour window perfectly, which I was amazed! By far, the best moving company I've worked with. I was stressed, as we had a very tight timeline, but the men who came were professional and efficient. They took care of our furniture and took care to place things in our new home. I actually had them come give me an estimate after looking at our house and they came in below their estimated amount. Only drawback for me was that all of our items didn't fit in their truck so it required two trips. I wasn't as concerned with the added cost, but this was logistically difficult for us. Overall, they handled it well and I will be recommending them to anyone who needs to move in the future! read more

I only have five boxes, one bed, one swing, one sofa and several chairs and lights. I have already put all the things together and packaged. They said it was easy, I think they will do it very quickly. I am a student, move from apt to apt, they used 4.5 hours, it is unbelievable. Finally, I disassemble and reassemble the swing by myself. Not a good experience, but they packaged the furniture very carefully. read more

I guess it's luck of the draw. From the other reviews, I think I would have had a great experience if they had shown up. I purchased a Groupon (2 hours, 2 movers) to help unload my rented moving truck. The woman I spoke to was very courteous and we set an appointment for 8:00 this morning. At 8:15 am I called and left a message asking for an update. And again at 9, and at 10. I still haven't received a call back, 7 hours later. I've called probably 10 times today, so I'm not sure if they're not doing business for anyone or if they're selectively avoiding my phone calls. So I called another moving company, A to Z Valley Wide Movers. They were wonderfully accommodating and did a great job on such short notice, preventing a total moving meltdown from yours truly. I scheduled a move for yesterday, 3/29 at 11am. I waited 30 minutes and then called. I spoke with Lisa on their main line [(480) 584-0865]. When I spoke with Lisa , she told me the team of movers were still on another assignment. Later at 12noon, I received a call from Scott, saying that their previous assignment has been pro-longed in North Scottsdale (only 15 minutes away from Tempe). Scott informed me that it would not be until about 4pm before they could get to where I was, to unload my truck into a storage unit at (810 S McClintock). At 4pm, I called the main line 4 times, called the number that Scott had last called me from (602)-422-6409 and no answer. The last number that Scott called me from, has a voicemail greeting for Lisa. I called the 602 number 4 times. In all, I left 3 voicemails and no update or response whatsoever from this company. I ended up having to hire another company at the last minute and Soft Touch has my money without ever lifting a finger. This is uncalled for and they are liars. DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON read more

This was by far my beat experience with a moving company. From the start they were extremely professional. They were on time and communicated extremely well. They had hidden fees that were communicated prior to the move. The gentleman that moved me were fantastic and very personable didnt waste time or milk the clock to get that extra hour. When I move again in a year I will be using them again. read more

I don't know about all this 5 stars, I was very disappointed. found them on Groupon they were out of 3 hour deal but when I called they did honor it and I was able to get the moving date in a few days. So I felt good about that deal and the company. But than my nightmare starts. It took me a while to calm down to write this review. They came at 4 pm within time frame from 1 pm till 5 pm but when I saw the guys I knew it won't take us 3 to 5 hours as phone quote I was given for the job to be done. One of them was kind of at age and didn't look like he can handle the job. But I never expected it to be 8 hours. It was only entertainment center from living room , one full bedroom ( cal. King bed One mirror dresser one regular dresser computer table that they disassembled but didn't secure well enough to survive the move - but I guess my husband was informed about it and said ok, but if u r professional movers shouldn't u make sure it's secured?) From second bedroom it was twin bed one dresser and one small cubboard, about 40+boxes packed accordingly- books in small boxes so non of them were over weighted. A massage chair that took them over an hour to figure out that they can't disassemble it so it still at my old house) plus's dinner table and 6 chairs, one oversized powered recliner chair(that was moved in one piece) And 2 TV's. That's all that needed to be move All this information about what needs to be moved was in a list of things that I provide over the phone before moving was set up. So now what we have at the end - broken desk , massage chair that still need to be moved from old house. Job was finished at midnight. Didn't completely reassembled our bed , we found 3 support legs under the bed next morning and a bill that including cover trip( for them to come to our house) was over 800$ and don't forget I already paid for Groupon deal 150$ for first 3 hours. So I guess I will never use this company again and definitely will NOT recommend it to any of my friends. P.s.: It's not our first move and this time we r not limited to one day move so we only wanted them to move stuff that goes in a new place the rest of furniture and household items (including couches,second twin bed and mirror dresser from spear bedroom) we did donate and did move it to goodwill ourselves which took us to load and unload a small uhaul truck and bring extra 15 big boxes and shelves and outside items to storage all together 3 people same distance (storage on our new side of town) plus trip to goodwill and back plus unloading some of the staff at 2 of my kids houses , picking up more stuff at new place to bring it to the storage all together it took us less than 4 hours Any other times when we moved it never took us more than 5 hours but we had to move everything from one place to another in one move. Although I have never used a moving company before, I was happy with my choice. These two movers busted butt with their intelligence and knowledge and strength. I moved three miles away and all my furniture arrived in one piece without even a single couch. Your words towards the situation were at best, abhorrent and you composure even more questionable. Since you claim to have all final say in matters at your Soft Touch moving company, I'm sure your service will not last very long. I am sure you will hide this communication from whomever owns your company, but I will send this correspondence along to the powers that be. I am sure you must have had a bad day, as all I requested was to call my new apartment building to ensure a key would be available for the move. Most horrible experience of my life! 3 hours late from scheduled window. 2 guys showed up paid for 3. Movers were so tired they were careless with my items and scratched a few things. They were in a hurry to complete the job. They also dropped my fridge amd 6 boxes off the back of the truck from 6 feet high broke dishes, bowls, and glasses. Spoke to management about the issues but didnt care at all cause I didnt sign the damaged protection clause. Lisa manager was completely rude about the issues and she wouldnt do anything about it gave me a story about thats why we have car insurance and accidents happen completely unapologetically about the situation. We hired Soft Touch to move from a three bedroom condo to a two bedroom condo nearby. They showed up when they said they would, and helped us empty out a storage unit too. We weren't charged an arm and a leg for materials, which is where I hemorrhaged money last time I had to do this with another company. The move was completed in four hours, and they billed us accordingly. The overall price was extremely reasonable, and we were so happy to be settled into our new home without worrying about a huge moving bill. I was also one of those horrid customers who had to do this at the last minute. They fit me in, no problem. Huge weight off my shoulder. We were moved about two weeks ago from this date. I waited to write the review until most of our boxes were unpacked. Everything survived completely intact, and I do mean everything. I am seriously impressed! They were great too, with our weirdly shaped furniture, huge extra deep mattress, and the nonsensical layout of the new condo. Let me explain. The master bedroom is upstairs next to a loft, up a narrow flight of stairs. There's no landing, and stairs on the inside of the room too. Watching them get that mattress and a huge solid French provincial long dresser up there and then in the bedroom was pretty impressive. They didn't damage the furniture or the house, and did some weird lifting maneuver to get my stupidly big bed and stupidly heavy dresser in that little narrow bedroom door. We'd definitely hire them again, and recommend them to our friends and family. Plus, the owner was one of the movers we hired. Call me a hippie or bleeding heart, but I definitely prefer to support small local businesses with owners who are invested, firsthand, in what they're doing. Overall, very satisfied. Nice to have peace of mind during such upheaval. read more

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! If I could put less than 1 star I WOULD! I prepaid for their moving service $289. The movers did arrive on time, we did a walk through of the items in my apartment to be moved, we went over which door would be best to move through, and so the movers went to park there truck accordingly. So I thought. A few minutes later the helper knocks on my door to inform me that they will not be able move us. I asked why, and was told that their office would be calling me with an explanation because he didn't know why. Not accepting that answer I went out to the driveway to speak with the Driver. The Driver had already gotten the moving truck to the exit of my apartment complex by that time. He is the one that made the decision and wasn't even man enough to tell me himself so instead he sent his helper. He would not get out of the truck to talk to me, so I climbed up into the passenger side of the truck, and demanded an explanation. He stated that my apartment was too dirty, and he refused to move us. Isn't every home a bit messy when moving? I was in utter shock. Everything was packed and ready to go. We were to be out that day, and now we have no movers. I called the moving company and they said that the driver told them that my apartment was not organized and too dirty. My apartment was not dirty, and most of the items that needed to be moved were all in the livingroom except for a few items upstairs in the master bedroom. These were false accusations. We were scheduled for the last time slot of the day, so this was clearly a case of not wanting to do the job to get their day over with and go home. I was told that my refund would be issued within 5 days, but the speed of the refund is up to my bank per the moving company office. 5 days go by and no refund. I call my bank and they verify that there has been no morerefund initiated. I had to call the moving company multiple times to get an answer as to why my refund hasn't been issued. The woman answering the phone would say she doesn't have access to see if the refund has been issued, but she would receive an email once it was done. She said that I would need to speak with the owner for more info, but of course she was not there. Keep in mind that they have my moving money and can't hire another moving company. It ended up taking 2 weeks to receive my refund. We were almost homeless due to this incompetent company. Luckily our apartment complex worked with us and did not force us out, and it just so happened that I received a credit card from my bank before getting my refund. We were able to hire this great moving company called Frontier Apartment Movers formerly known as All-star Movers. They had everything moved out and moved into our new place within 3 hours. Just 2 guys that were extremely efficient, nothing was damaged, and they worked hard until the job was done. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! read more

My whole moving process with Soft Touch Moving was 5 stars! They were upfront about all costs from the start, gave me a wide selection of dates and times to choose from, and were very friendly. I booked two guys for two hours starting at 7 am on a Monday. When Scott and Alexander arrived on time they brought all the necessary supplies for moving, including wardrobe boxes to borrow for free. They were personable, careful with my belongings, and never slowed down. They prorated me for the 30 minutes we went over, so I wasn't charged for a full extra hour. I had these guys move me when they are were first getting started and they were wonderful so I wanted to use them again, big mistake! Now...I got a quote for them to move me to another apartment and got a quote for 3-4 hours which would be $300-$400 + travel fees which I was just fine with and so I hired them to complete my move. Moving day comes and it takes them the total of four hours to just move me out of my apartment, mind you that when they moved me in it only took them 1.5 hours ($100 total with tip). I understand that there was a bit more prep work than just moving things in from a trailer but they only wrapped my bed and couch and had to do no other prep work to load all of my boxes. How did it already take them the entire amount of time they quoted me to just move me out? So in total it took them 7.15 hours to complete my move that they estimated would be almost half the amount of time. Since I had them using their truck and trailer I couldn't just have them drop it off and move myself to save on the costs and time. To top it off I called to talk to the office about the extra time and what the reasonings where and the front office lady was rude and pretty much said too bad we already have your money and there is nothing we are going to do about it. I still can't believe it should take a moving company to move a one bedroom apartment almost 8 hours and more than $900. read more

I reached out to Soft Touch to assist in a small moving job. It was a move that we were able to get scheduled for the next day. The day of the move I started receiving multiple calls more then four hours before the move informing me that the movers were available and they were moving my move up. I was not able to make the change of time work and thus the move was canceled. I reached out and spoke with Lisa/Manager. She was extremely rude and offered to refund us whole amount and was not going to reschedule my move. I purchased a groupon from this company. They do not answer their phones. Called three times and got no response. Then when you get ahold of someone by email they give no help. Tell you the voucher you paid for is only available for the crappy late night slots, even though its called an "early bird special." Then proceed to tell you that you need to pay an additional $35 for using the "early bird special." Then tell you that you didnt read the fine print and its an additional $115 "trip fee" on top of the $175 and the $35 they are already charging. Horrible customer service and hidden fees all over the place. Not entirely sure how this is even a company still. read more

I hired Mike and Mike to help me move very last minute. They were both very nice and friendly. They put blankets on everything, wrapped it all in shrink wrap and put in the truck all in no time. I had bought a group and wanted it done within two hours and I am writing this review with 21 minutes to spare. The first time Jason, Juan and Dan (forgive me if Dan was not his name) were amazing. They called when they were 30 mins out, got there on time, and hit the ground running!They took incredible care and efficiency with my furniture, and Jason even helped me find my keys! The second time was Jason and Uriel. They helped me in moving and organizing items into storage and again incredibly efficient! They were super easy to work with and made a stressful process we were dealing with easier. Can't say enough good things about Soft Touch Moving. Their quote was quite reasonable based on the size of our move (2,900 sq ft home into a 1,330 sq ft townhome - Cave Creek to Scottsdale). The crew showed up right on time on 6/28/18, and were very personable. The leader of this crew was Scott, and his whole crew was amazing. All of our furniture and possessions were treated with great care. Due to timing of our closing of our prior and new house, we needed storage for 2 nights. Then, promptly on 6/30, Scott and his crew showed up and were very efficient in moving everything in. Again, great care taken. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move. We will hire them again in a couple months as we will need to move some furniture around to other rooms as new furniture is acquired. read more

Horrible company! This company came out to pack my house and also in a different day to move my things on a truck to drive over 1800 miles across the map. The guy Adam who packed my place including the supervisor Scott got mad after I declined their supplies and instead choosing to use the supplies I had. Adam stayed in my kitchen packing for an entire 2 hours and did a halfway and horrible job packing my glassware. He broke my hurricane vases, glass baking dish, wine glasses, etc. I emailed the company and Araceli who as well has poor communication and customer service. She basically told me because I failed to use their supplies I deserved my things to be broken and offered no remorse whatsoever. Her attitude is nasty and she appears to not like people. When calling she screens the calls and refuses to return your call, using poor communication once again. This is not the best company in Arizona!! Be aware! read more
