The location of the Sofitel worked out well as we were in the center of the city and very close to the just opened Christmas Market. It's nice to have a view from your hotel, but it wasn't a big deal that our room just looked out into an interior atrium. The room was quiet, clean, and a good size. There was a desk, a chair, and a little couch. Some of the other features in the room were free water bottles, a tv, a stocked mini-bar, a hairdryer, robes, and a kettle with tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The bathroom had a shower tub along with a magnifying mirror and your usual toiletries along with a few others like a sewing kit. The spa area, which is free to use, has a small hot tub, a sauna, and a steam room. The night we went to check out the spa before dinner it was a bit of a hot mess with towels and some water bottles thrown everywhere, but it wasn't too bad as there were still towels for us to use. It seemed like although there was a desk for a staff member by the spa/gym area, it was not regularly staffed. All and all I would recommend staying here and would stay here again myself. It was easy and inexpensive to get to the hotel from the public bus that serves the airport, the staff was helpful, and the 2 nights we stayed here we slept well. read more

This is an oasis in the middle of Wrocław. It's a great city but nice to have a staff that really cares about its guests. The front desk and concierge teams are excellent. They are well informed and helpful. The rooms are very good and the one problem I had was immediately rectified. I highly recommend this hotel. It is close to the town center and near many good restaurants and shops. I look forward to staying here each time I visit. read more

This is a top notch hotel in the heart of Wroclaw. Easy walk to the square. Beds are nice well made soft and pillowy. Worth it all the way. Very modern look and clean. We had a view of their atrium nothing great to look at but nice and quiet. read more

Excellent location - steps away from the Market Square. So on that part, the property delivers. I booked through Hotels.com, which listed an attractive rate for a "western" brand: king-bed room with a view. The king bed is actually two twins pushed together [NOT the same!!] and I felt like I slept in a hole - the mattress was so soft [or worn?], I was glad it was only for one night. The "view" was the covered atrium, so no fresh outside air when you open the window, and the echo of the marbled atrium is astonishingly loud when you are trying to fall asleep. Breakfast rates are astronomic by local standards: you step out and across the street is a convenience store, and two steps away are cafes and restaurants of the Market Square and its surroundings streets - so unless you are spoiled, or absolutely stranded for time, do explore other options. Had chronic problems with the key in the elevator: had to fix it 3 times in 24 hrs. No ice machines - have to call the front desk for it to be brought to you. On the plus side: multi-lingual staff; they accommodated my request for a high floor and away from the elevator; they also booked a taxi to pick me up at the airport; the shower water pressure was excellent, and the oversized towels can be warmed to your liking. Good selection of English channels, beyond the standard BBC Europe. read more

My wife and I visited Wroclaw just before Christmas, the hotel is located in the Market Square area, this is a great location for exploring! We arrived at the hotel a few hours before check in and were happy to hear that they had a room available for us, when we entered our room we were greeted with the smell of a dirty room, we stepped into the room and noticed that the bed was not made and there was a half eaten food tray next to it. Upon closer inspection we discovered that there was still luggage in the room, it was still occupied but fortunately they were not in the room. We quickly went down and talked to the front desk, they apologized and offered us an upgrade. Our new room was clean and there was a tray of cheese and other small foods, unfortunately everything on the tray was stale, there was a hand written note on the food tray which we had a friend translate and discovered that this new room was also intended for someone else. I also couldn't figure out what the upgrade was other than it was cleaner. The stay was ok, the breakfast buffet was nice but it was very awkward to enter someone else's room. It would have been nice to have been offered a discount or a coupon for another nights stay at a Sofitel Hotel but since this didn't happen I think we will avoid this hotel chain in the future. read more

Great location near the city center, shops and businesses. Clean updated room, comfortable bedding, nice bathroom. About $150 US per night included a lovely breakfast buffet with some cooked to order items. The spa was also nice and I had a lomi lomi booked as a walk in on my first jet lagged night. Only 4 stars because although I was on a non smoking floor, the hallway (but not my room) smelled of smoke. It improved near the elevators, so it was clearly either people smoking in their rooms or the hallway, or staff smoking in service areas. They also had a problem with their key cards while I was there and it was not resolved for several hours so I could not come and go easily the first day. Lastly, the restaurant was under staffed(?) on the Thursday evening I tried to eat there. I waited for about 5 minutes before walking downstairs to the front desk to see if they were open. They called ahead and I was greeted, seated, given a menu but not offered anything to drink and promptly forgotten. She disappeared and 15 minutes later, no one in sight, I walked out. I expect with this feedback these are quick fixes and bad luck so it will be 5 stars next time. read more
