The team my son joined has been together for two years and when we joined my boy was "the new kid", but he never felt this way. We felt very welcomed from the very first practice and it's been an absolute pleasure to watch him flourish, and build friendships with the rest of the kids. The club cares more for the kids than the bottom line - in spring season the pats won 90% of the games and in some games we had to play with 6 kids (vs 7) and the boys were still winning as the coaches refused to let anyone in just for the sake of it. Consider it an honor if your kid gets an offer to join the club. A few months ago I signed up my younger son for the prep academy, and he loves it too. Overall, my experience with the club so far has been great.

My only complaint is that some of the parents take it way too seriously & it dampens the vibes. I was under the impression that these are casual pick up games for a friendly scrimmage, but some of these parents were treating it like AYSO's championship tournament. One of the moms even went so far as to try to get someone else's kid to give up their match so it would be 3 v. 4 to "even the odds." It was bizarre, to say the least.
