Spacious, clean and tidy, nice staff, multiple choice of products, large parking spot.

Poor service. Does not stand behind their products at all. Avoid. Pricier than many other supermarkets in town.

This is my favorite grocery store in town; pretty small, but has a quaint charm to it. I lived not…read morefar from this part of the city, a charming urban neighborhood that is quite scaled but still not far from downtown or the (mature) suburbs. There is a little parking lot next to the store, and you can park along Merrymeeting Road or the surrounding streets as well I guess. I always walked there so I never looked much into parking options. They accept debit and credit cards like larger grocery stores. As you walk in, you'll notice a baked goods section and small deli that has a good selection of store-made items and other local Newfoundland goods. There are only two cash registers to the left, and usually a security guard which I thought was a little odd for a small grocery store in St. John's but nonetheless, and from there on you see the normal grocery aisles you'd expect. Lines have never been a problem. Staff seem friendly. The aisles carry the name of local streets, ie. Cookstown Road. Their pricing is obviously a little higher than that of Walmart, Sobeys and Dominion - but really, it's a local chain of grocery stores headquartered in Corner Brook. They don't really have the scale that these chains do, and for what it's worth, there's not a big difference anyway. Weekly flyer often has pretty competitive specials, I imagine sold as loss leaders. Definitely better than the Sobeys store further down the street. Shop here, support local businesses before they're gone altogether. Colemans has a special place in the heart of many people living in this area I think.

I am very disappointed in Dominion Stadium location. The 10% off is offered to this location…read moreonly to get us back or to keep us. Good luck with that! Where are your carts? On Sunday, August 31 there weren't any! None upstairs and store mostly empty. The corals outside were 100% empty.

This is for the store on stavanger drive, Good lord. Get better people. We went in for a quick…read moreevening shop tonight. (Friday July 8 just before close) and bought some essentials as we only returned to the province a couple of nights ago. Took our stuff to the register and asked if we could get bags. The lady would not let us just bag and pay for the bags we use at the end; and said we had to buy the bags we need first. She had to ring them In first, like she thought we would steal them. (Coleman's just bags and charges at the end because their staff can count) Then when she got to the tomatoes she could not get them to ring in and looked me in the face and said "the bar code won't go through, you can't have them" I repeated her " I can't have them ?". Yes. They won't ring in you can't have them. I looked at my wife and said let's go. But of necessity she wanted to just get what we had picked up. But seriously I wanted to leave. I have never been in retail and had someone tell me I can't have something that is for sale. In the end we flagged down a manager who came over and pointed out that she simply had other stuff on the scale so it wouldn't work moved there stuff and rang it in for her. She looked frustrated. My wife may be patient enough to stay open Jennifer wanted to just abandon the sale, but the first words out of her mouth when we stepped outside and as simply "stupid woman". She was frustrated as well. Generally speaking this woman on the register was rude, inept and stupid. She was unfriendly. And seemed to generally hate her job and hated dealing with customers. Dominion you may have the selection, supply chain and inventory advantages over the local chain Coleman's but you don't have the kind and helpful staff on your register. I would rather support local business with friendly staff than put up with the kind of garbage service we experienced tonight. My bill is as about $239.94.. You will not have my money again. Seriously. Hire better people.
