OUT OF SERVICE should be the name of this place. If you look at the photos you'll see little white pieces of paper on almost every machine that says "out of service". The sign said attendant on duty, there was no one there. Dark, dingy, dirty floors & cobwebs... Like the machines, most of the light bulbs are out of order too. It was a hot day, and there was no air conditioning. I paid a visit to the restroom, and it was worse than the rest of the place! Dirty, splatter everywhere, dirty floors, no soap, no water! Soap-N-Suds IS HISTORY!!! In it's place is now Greenway Laundry I was recently passing through Truth or Consequences to hit the Walmart for some supplies and I needed to do laundry. Having been there and done this in the past a few times in my travels, I knew that there are only two coin-op laundromats in town, and neither were particularly well maintained. When I pulled up to the one located at 1804 S Broadway Street, I immediately noticed that the building had a nice new "facelift" which identified the building as Greenway Laundry. I parked my truck/trailer off to one side and went in to check it out and to make sure it was ok to park where I did. Bob, the very cordial owner greeted me at the door, I was pleasantly surprised as I looked around. Bob explained that he and his wife, Sharon renovated the facility less than a year ago, and I have to say they have done an amazing job. They have replaced most of the washers and dryers, and the new units are state-of-the-art energy efficient machines, and the entire facility is very well maintained. Both Bob and Sharon are down-to-earth and good-hearted individuals, willing to help their customers when and how they can. I can honestly say, they go over and above! Without exaggeration this is truly one of the nicest laundromats you will ever find, not to mention great owner/operators!!! read more

Should had read reviews . detergent machine don't work . , I stayed at the laundry more than 30 minutes just to dry 1 pants 5 shirts 1 towel still wet . I'm back to the hotel and I'm using the heater to dry my clothes :(. Should find me a River to wash my clothes and dry on sun next time read more

There were some out of order signs on the machines but there were plenty of working machines and it worked out just fine. I have never been to a laundromat that did not have some equipment out of service. I am camping at a nearby state park and I plan to use this laundromat again before I leave. read more

Out of 20 washers 5 were working. No one on duty in the middle of the day. Detergent vending machine didn't work. Dryer took forever. Don't bother coming here. Wash them on a rock in the river! read more

Do not use, needed 6 washers but only 4 of the 20 worked.. took 3 hours to do what should have been 1.5 hour job.. I know I will never go back.. AT least I did not lose any money, that is what the 1 star is for.. read more

One of the worst laundry mats I have been too. About half of the washing had out of order signs on them and the ones that were supposed to be working didn't work. We had to call for help at least three times. I wouldn't recommend this laundry mat to anyone. read more

there are two laundramats in t or c, nm. i travel new mexico, and stopped in this one today. about 6 washers were out of order so i had to wait. all washers are the same- 'double load' front loaders. i loaded up three washers, put in my $2.25, selected HOT, and pushed play. the timer started at 17 minutes i believe, which i thought was a short time for a wash. then i stood transfixed as the rimer counted down but my laundry was spinning around DRY in there for 3, 4, 5, 6 minutes before i saw any sign of moisture. i literally stood and watched for 10 minutes and could see clearly that the clothes were barely damp- whatever little bit of water was being put into the machine was being totally soaked up by my clothes. not only that, the glass doors were totally cold. there was no one working there so i called the phone number and spoke with a very nice lady who tried to explain that front loaders use 1/4 the water of top loaders. i told her i have used front loaders at different laundramats all over new mexico for two years now and my clothes always get wet and i always see water in the machine. she said no none has complained before. when the machines turned off, everything, including a thick fluffy blanket, was barely damp. literally. the bedding i washed to get the slight doggy smell out of still smelled like my dog when i took the stuff out. one upside- everything dried in 15-20 minutes flat, even though the dryers were barely warm on high heat. i have been to laundramats where pushing 'hot' gave you cold water anyway, but i have never been to one that didn't even have enough water to get your clothes wet. seriously, like a couple drops of water even splashed the inside of the glass door the whole wash. unbelievable. read more

While I was happy to have found this laundromat, it appears that maintenance of machines is lacking. There are 20 washers, but 6 of them were out of order when I was there. Many of the dryers don't work because the doors won't stay closed. Numerous dryers had out of order signs on them, but several that weren't operating didn't have signs on them. I put money in a couple that didn't work. The floors and tables were clean, and there were plenty of laundry carts for use. There is a change machine. read more
