First visit to this laundromat & was immediately put off by the musty & mildewy smell the moment I…read morewalked in. Also very hot & humid with no fans or ventilation. The facility is tired & in need of a fresh coat of paint. Several machines were out of order (mostly the smaller 18 & 20 # washers & a few dryers; in all fairness getting a service repair person to this remote town is likely a challenge). It appears the restroom is only available when there is an employee, so if you're coming on the weekend &/or evenings find a bathroom elsewhere. The machines take quarters (NOT tokens as some laundromats do); wash prices are based on type of wash. Ex: A 50# machine, heavy duty will cost $7; same machine, warm wash -perm press is $6.75. The 50# dryers are 50¢/10 minutes.

I give it one star for not keeping the restroom open for customers, in a part of town where public…read morerestrooms aren't available. At the same time their policy is you can't leave your laundry unattended. So if you do need a restroom during the whole process of bringing in the clothes, loading, shifting, drying, folding/bagging, then you are stuck unless you have someone to watch your laundry and you go pay another business for access. They say that bad things happen if they leave it unlocked when they don't have an attendant present. So I'd reply, be sure to have an attendant during business hours. If people will come in to use it who need to be turned away, then the business is leaving its customers to deal with these problematic non-customers, which is not cool. The logic given was there are two facilities they own and the attendant janitor was going between and had made the call not to be at this one for the rest of the business day. No way I could have known this. So I had brought in a bunch of laundry before trying the restroom door as I didn't want to be questioned on being a customer-- and then I had to take it all back to my car and go home without any laundry being done. I drove by the other location and it looked really unappealing to me. By the way, the laundromat I chose on Hudson parking was full and there were a lot of customers there, surely enough business to make sure the restroom is available to the customers. I have seen the floors get flooded in parts when machines malfunctioned. And to my mind there should always be someone there if only for their own liability with occasionally wet or soapy floors. This business has one basic job which is to keep the whole service functioning during all business hours. If they can't do that, then shorten the hours -- but then they would lose money. Don't like that they shrugged it off as if it's my job to guess when they have an attendant. Which is not posted, and I am not psychic.

I used these guys as I was staying in town for a brief time in between moving to another city, and…read moreI needed my suit pressed for a job interview. I dropped it off and picked it up next day - no problems, very professional service to myself and others who were dropping off or picking up at the same time. After picking my suit up next day, I noticed when packing it for my flight some holes in the fabric. So why the five star review? Maurice and Teresa (the owners), and their staff, handled me bringing the suit back very professionally. They took my suit, and as soon as Maurice and Teresa got in, they gave me a call and invited me back to the shop to look at it and discuss together. They gave me their opinion and presented evidence that considering the fabric type (100% wool) and nature of the damage, that this was most likely the result of moth larvae. They offered me a means to test if I did not believe this, and to compensate if this was not proven wrong. Maurice also gave advice on how to store and care for wool fabrics to prevent this in the future. The manner they went about this was very courteous professional and earnest. I later verified their claims through my own research online, and it appears to be a common issue. I am a firm believer that you can test the quality of a team by how they handle and respond to problems. In this case I was impressed throughout the services performed and the response to the problem, and while I am not staying in town long enough to make regular use of their services, I would trust them enough to come back again.
