Le tram a un station couvert dehors quand on sort du centre commercial. Les signes sont clair et facile à comprendre. EN This is the more vibrant of the two rail stations in the city. (I arrived at the other in the morning and departed this one in the evening.) It's at the center of a very active neighborhood in the heart of the city. There a shops and restaurants located in each direction on nearby streets and moreover, there's a mall attached to the station. Just outside the lower mall exit, there's a covered tramway station. Signage throughout the station and mall are clearly legible.

There's a bus stop outside the station, which you can take into Fontainebleau, a mere two miles away. We have use both this station and the one Thomery without any issues for years. The train schedule is clearly posted inside and it is easy to read. There is also a ticket agent (photo) on duty, who speaks limited English. But between our limited French, it all works out. LOL The station btw serves both Transilien (commuter) and TER (regional), but no longer the TGV. So it can be quite busy, with express trains wizzing by. There's a convenience store here and another place with station staff to buy tickets from. The latter aren't the friendliest but the female staffer actually let me back into the station to use the restroom. From the outside on the street the station looks so cool.

It's a tourist trap - the guards will scam you of €35 per person for a penalty if you didn't get…read morethe correct train ticket and instead got a metro ticket, which a lot of tourists mistakenly do. There are no checks or issues getting on the train, even with a metro ticket, but once you get off at Versailles, the guards will stop you to check tickets and make you pay the penalty. Make sure to do your research on the tickets as the zones are not clear when purchasing tickets at the metro station - there are different train vs metro options and service here is poor.
