This place has become my one a week treat on most weekends after work since I love trying their menu and featured salads. The service here is very good and quick given the items that go into your salad. My favorite salad so far has been the sweet and Smokey salmon salad which was featured a few weeks ago. Smoked salmon in a salad is amazing! And you're always welcomed to add or take away items in a salad. They have a wide variety of salad toppings if you opt to make your own creation. They vary between eggs, fruits, beans, GRILLED AVOCADO, salmon, the list goes on an on. They also make their dressings in house so you can feel good eating even more fresh when you stop by. They have yummy lemon cookies and bread everyday too! The only downside here is that the chairs in the place are super uncomfortable but I'm just being picky haha. Definitely try this place out! These salads are awesome! It is my place to go on the go to maintain my healthy eating habits. Half size is plenty, just as the menu indicates. Yellowfin Tuna salad is my personal favorite. This location in general looks to be getting OK reviews if you only look at the number of stars. My wife earlier this week visited the Addison location and told me how great it was. So when we were looking for a place to grab a light dinner closer to home she recommend this location after all it has more stars than the other location she had been to so we were looking forward to a great dinner experience. One should probably read more of the reviews than just the five star ones. There is a review of this location by a Tammy M. who started that you should not come here on Sunday as the crew is very confused and the portions are scrimped on. We ate here on Sunday evening, when we got in line the girl behind the counter started to help us but was interrupted by another employee who told her not to help us but to take care of the online orders first. This person turned out to be the manager Travis Clugstan he finally got around to putting on his gloves and ask what we wanted. My wife ordered the grilled avocado salad and I wanted the build your own with the 8 ingredients and one crunchy topping as the menu board stated. We were first told they were out of iceberg lettuce and that we had no choice of the greens, then when I started adding the 8 toppings the scoops were half full and when I commented and ask for a little extra I got the look and my bowl was put at the end of the line and he went to work on the online orders as his new employee who was working on that was not doing it to his satisfaction. My wife's avocado salad took some time to come out and when we asked Travis basically told us I am under staffed what do you want me to do. The crunchy topping on my salad was forgotten about by Travis and had to ask again. My wife asked for the manager and that is when Travis told us he was the manager, she commented that the location was disorganized and he told us we were rude. The review that said don't eat here on Sundays because the staff is confused and disorganized hit the nail right in the head. What a disappointment for our first visit. read more

After my last visit to a different Snappy Salads location I thought I'd try this one and see if I ran into the same issues. I'm happy to say they got it half right :) As always, the food is amazing, the greens fresh, toppings tasty and the chicken is oh-so-fresh! When I asked for the kids meal the young girl look confused until a more seasoned employee who overheard me filled her in. It's a lot of food, and since I wanted chicken on my salad (kids meal comes with salad), I opted for a couple of sides for him instead. I am sad to say all the tables are just as tall and therefore not highchair friendly either. I did notice there are picnic tables outside which are highchair compatible. It was however so crowded and my hands were full with my drink, bag and baby, I couldn't grab a highchair so I had him sit on my lap and eat a couple bites before we took our salad home. I'd come back to this location on a nice day so I could use a highchair and sit outside, otherwise I'll take it home. read more

I discovered Snappy about 7 years ago. Back then, I was starting to change my lifestyle to become more healthy and Snappy played a big role in that. It was my go to place to get healthy yet delicious meals. I used to go so often I knew the staff by name. Then about 5 years ago I moved to an upper midwest city, then 2 years ago I moved to a west coast city. Both majoy metro areas. Now I've move back to Dallas. I'm mentioning this because I can honestly and fairly say that throughout all the different places around the country I've lived, and searched for another "go to" salad place, I've not found another that comes close in quality, menu variety, and most importantly flavor and taste. Sure there were a lot of healthy/salad places in those cities, but they were mostly generic/make your own salad places. And personally, I hate making my own salad so I never enjoyed them. Even when I found one that had some set menu salads, the favor and taste were only acceptable at best and after awhile they got boring and I stopped going. All that's to say, what I like most about Snappy is their set recipe menu salads that are so well designed and have extensive range and flavor. Beyond other reasons, it's the food that keeps me coming back again and again. Snappy Salad is a gem we have here in Texas and I will be continue to be a customer as long as they keep the food delicious. read more

Quick and easy! Great spot for lunch. We came during the weekday lunch rush and hardly had to wait in line. I ordered the classic Caesar salad and added bacon bits and onion and it was delicious. When you show your Yelp check in you also get a free soft drink! I ordered the large salad because I was hungry, but strongly recommend getting just the half. The full salad is enough for two people, so I couldn't even finish close to all of it. I ordered a piece of bread on the side that I had to take to go because my eyes were apparently much larger than my appetite. Ingredients are fresh and super appealing looking. Disgusting. I have no idea what happened today- must have been lazy staff. When you first walk in the place literally stinks. Once you go into the restrooms- you can see why. Gas station restrooms are better kept up. Filthy. Unclean. Gross. All the tables were empty- tons of dirty dishes and crumbs left out. The entire time we were there, no one picked anything up. Salad ingredients had clearly been sitting there all day.... wilted lettuce, brown veggies, chicken hard as a rock from sitting out for hours-more gross. I had to get to a soccer game so decided to walk past several restaurants and make another choice. It started off bad when I saw the iceberg bin! 90 percent of it had started turning brown. Didn't someone train these kids to replace that? I love snappy salads!!! My last visit to the richardson location was not so great. I walked down the long aisle to the counter and the girl working was on her phone right in front of the coolers and lettuce, right at the beginning of the line. She never looked up once. I got to the counter, stood there for a minute and still no acknowledgement of me. The cook that was working on the meat needed something out of the cooler so he went over to grab something. She looked at him and scooted over but still never looked up to make sure there were no customers. The cook finally pointed at me and said "can you help her." That's when she finally acknowledged me and got off of her phone. I really don't think the employees should be allowed to be on their phone right there where customers can see. Love their salads here. Though it can be quite pricey... they give you a generous amount and they are quite a few additional items beside salads like wraps, soup, bread, and baked potatoes. My favorites are the cobb and taco salad. Cobb dressing is really refreshing and the taco meat is very flavorful. A regular size is more than enough. Fiance loves the grilled avacado with chicken. This is my least favorite location as it's pretty hectic during the lunch rush and parking can be hard to find. But the weekends and dinner hours are much more relaxed. read more

This is a great little salad house that I found the other day. When you go into this joint, its very reminicient of a Chipotle, only that they serve salads... On the wall to the left when you enter is the menu, and if you are familiar with this chain, you can check online first for what you want and just show up and they will make the salad for you. They serve the salad in the metal bowls and toss them for you in front of your eyes, so you see the ingredients and can determine if you want to add or not add those particular items. I got the cobb salad and the wife got some salmon salad.. Both were great.. This will be my new salad house since its in the same neighborhood that I live in... easy to get to and it doesnt take that long to get your meal. read more

Snappy Salads offers a pre-set menu which is nice for those who are too lazy to pick their own ingredients. I ordered the Bam Bam. It was good, delicious, and I would get it again. However, there was so little dressing that I had to go up to the counter and ask for me. Not that big of a deal. Also, after eating this $10+ salad, I honestly wasn't that full. When I saw how crowded it was inside, I kept going because I didn't feel like waiting that long, but figured it must be alright since they had so many patrons. I had the opportunity to go early one evening, went inside, loud music and only 4 other customers. Great, no line. There were several pre-set options on the menu. No thanks. Oh, and I am SUPER picky about my lettuce. I can't stand iceberg, will actually take the time to pick out those chunky white pieces. So I did like the options: red leaf, romaine, spinach, artisan mix, and... iceberg. I chose spinach and red leaf, didn't see any withered or brown edges (I said I was super picky), lots of ingredients, and dressing. It was all tossed together in a big bowl, then placed in a to-go container. Now, I'm not a fan of not having control of my dressing, because I do like a lot. I found the salad to be too dry, especially since the meat (chicken) was just added on top AFTER it had all been tossed, so it had zero dressing on it. I knew it would be pricey, but $10.50? (a co-worker called me crazy for paying that much)/ Was it worth it? I suppose. If you want a decent salad without having to buy all the ingredients yourself, sure. This place was a delight to enjoy for lunch. Not too busy and all the food was very fresh! Since it was our first time here my wife and I had a tough time deciding what to order so one of the staff came out from behind the counter and greeted us and offered suggestions. It was very helpful and we decided on the Bam-Bam and the Cobb. Both salads were delicious and the half snap was the perfect amount for lunch. The iced tea was a nice switch from the normally bitter and overstepped kinds at other places. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was the prices are a bit steep for salad but I am sure it is due to the fresh ingredients.
