    Complimentary mini chocolate chip cookies
    Kara P.

I had a solid visit to this relatively new establishment in Tallahassee that I believe is partly black owned. I made reservations for a group of 10 and they put us in the private room toward the back. It was a little warm at first and I couldn't tell if it was just due to the temps outside, but I don't know that it ever got terribly cool in the room. Francia I believe was our server and she was lovely and attentive. The complementary chocolate chip cookies that were brought at the start were so good. I would easily buy a bag of them to go. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. I was able to taste a little at the start it was more savory than sweet, but still tasty. I will say the croissant bread that it was served on was the hardest croissant I've ever had. I'm not sure what that was about, but I didn't complain. The side salad that I ordered was delightful with the citrus vinaigrette, as well as the Mojito Mocktail. One lady in my party had the Cobb salad and her plate was clear by the end of our lunch. I was also able to try the banana bread which was amazing, it was super sweet in case that's not your thing. I didn't hear any complaints from any of the other women about their food itself. One person in my party was surprised her fruit cup, side of bacon and sangria came to about $30. All in all, I'd definitely give this place another chance and I hope it does well here in Tallahassee.

Delicious food and lovely patio! Definitely get ready to relax and enjoy. Not a fast food place but worth the wait.

Keep in mind even though we have plenty of hot weather left. Also, in UNsweet tea was very good and its harder to get in a restaurant this than one might think

It is the reason I would consider returning but "$12-$15" for a salad where I stand in line, pay at the register, find a seat and eat from a plastic bowl with plastic utensils seems a little high for this old boy. My wife regularly pays $14 for her favorite Southern Spin Cobb Salad at Backwoods Crossing where we are waited on at table and eat with utensils and bowls that are reusable and go through the dishwasher rather than into the landfill. I have even rationalized a steak salad for myself a few times because the amount of steak was similar to what I would get with a steak and baked potato meal and the salad meant I was eating healthier. Those too were enjoyed at a restaurant where we were waited on and ate with utensils and bowls that go through the dishwasher and not the landfill. I think I paid $17 for those. Maybe somebody was having a bad day but "methinks thou doth protest too much."
