This is one of the nicest campgrounds we've visited. Set among Idaho's largest pinyon pine forest and almost hidden from sight near the eastern edge of the City of Rocks National Reserve, it has everything going for it. There are 38 campsites, including several equestrian spaces with horse corrals. Each has electricity and water hookups and an RV dump station is located along the entrance road. There extra space between campsites and trees and bushes provide screening from neighboring sites. Traffic through the campground is minimal and showers are located in a centrally located restroom building. Individual campsites are huge with a long paved trailer space, separate room for a tent, picnic table and fire ring/grill. read more

THREE STARS FOR JULY THE BAD: Don't come in late July. Blisteringly hot from the moment the sun comes up, minimal shade, and bugs, Bugs, BUGS! Big bugs that bite. Tiny bugs that swarm the nose, eyes, and ears. ARRRRGGGGG!!!! THE GOOD: Clean bathrooms and showers. Lots of privacy. Cute local stores with craft beer aplenty. read more
