I expected the prices to be much higher given the experience & vibe, but they were good prices for quality product. I read some reviews before leaving my own and I was super annoyed that people were saying it was overpriced. You get what you pay for. If you're broke and looking for bargain basement prices you get bargain basement product. I for one am happy to pay for quality, and I definitely expected the cost to be higher so for me it was a win. 3. The security guard was not super friendly, but I actually think that's cool cause I felt safe inside. Like he was actually securing the space. The rest of the staff was friendly & had answers to my questions. 4. I got some fire flower. I'm not into pre-rolls and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur. 10/10. Again shocked by a few of the reviews I read. Bargain basement Billy complaining about the quality but got a $5 pre-roll on BOGO is diabolical like brooooo get it together, caviar dreams on a taco bell budget is not the vibe. The flower I bought had me stuck in the clouds so I'm glad I went in before I read the reviews. Overall, For me the spot was one of the coolest weed stores I have been in. Recommended to us by a Head Shop manager in Redondo Beach, it was the closest dispensary, 25 mins, from our stayca spot. Set back in a corner of a strip mall, Catalyst has quite a footprint. On the Friday we popped in, a brand they offer had an event in the Catalyst "event room". I guess it was for invited guests who partake of that particular brand because it wasn't just open to anyone. No prob for us, we were just popping in to check out Catalyst. Hubs made a purchase, got a first timers discount and was given a flyer for Customer Appreciation Day the next day! We returned the next day after lunch and Hubs was sure they would be out of House Shake since it was a sale day. He not only picked up what he wanted, but not ONCE did I hear a bud tender say, 'oh, actually, we're out of that,' which I seem to hear, pretty much every time, at other sales events. It starts to feel more like a closeout sale. Not at Catalyst! They seemed well stocked with quite a large selection and welcoming staff once again. Hubs found these ADORABLE mini (1/2 size?) joints he thought would be fun for a few hits. Nope, them bad babies were 2 puffs and "2BC". Strooong, he says.
