We were very pleasantly surprised to find such a modern and decked out bbq joint next to a gas station in Whitehorse. The door is drafty as it gets opened and closed often, no respite for the tables near the door. Had a few local beers on tap and a few bottled to choose from, went with a local draft and wasn't disappointed. The sides were all excellent - particularly loved the cauliflower and broccoli salad, light and just a little creamy with good crunch in the veggies. Buffalo brussels were also good, and the dill potatoe salad didn't disappoint. The brisket and pulled pork both had excellent flavor with some great char. But both were on the dry side. Nothing a little bbq sauce couldn't resolve. I'd definitely stop by and give their other sides and other cuts a try. Maybe we'll even try dessert next time! read more

As something who appreciates fine BBQ brisket, Smoke and Sow in The Yukon is one of my top three BBQ joints in North America (along with Shivers in Homestead, FL and Notorious Pig in Missoula, MT). Fork tender beef with excellent smoke and a tasty rub. Add to that top flight beans, a broccoli salad, and fantastic service - you have a winner! read more

Food was good or server was friendly and the company exceptional. Tucked away behind the gas station is an unexpected little gem.

Really nice place and the food was excellent! The fish n Chips was really good and lots of fish. The brisket was tender and feasted great! The ribs were just as good. The meat had a nice smoky flavor and I will definitely be going back there again! Nice homemade iced tea. And the sauces were all good. I have to add this part and that is why I didn't give a 5 star rating. The menu says you get sauces with an order of meat, however if you order the smallest portion or the largest you get the same amount of sauces, how is that fair? You order the 1lb of brisket and only get the a little sauce? When I asked the waitress (younger person not experienced) the answer was that's the way it is! Well in Buisness it's never that way, the correct answer is I will look into that and see what I can do. Now one of the owners (older experienced person) said they can give us more sauce and we won't be charged. Now that's the right way! However when the bill came the extra sauce was charged. Not good! I will give them one more chance but if it happens again I won't be going back. Now some might be reading this and say that it's kind of stupid, well it's not when you order the full pound and pay 4 times the amount and get the same amount of sauce. It just doesn't make sense. Fries were stupendous! Bloody Caesar was unique and delicious. Bacon creamed corn was meh. Cornbread was sweet and dense, very tasty. Brisket was a disappointment after my son's enthusiastic recommendation. He has enjoyed excellent brisket at previous visits. Very dry and overdone. Possibly the end pieces of brisket that had been on the warmer for too long. Will try again, might've been a busy Friday night. Service was very good considering the turnover. Our waitress gave us her all and we appreciated her effort. Very sweet and eager to please. read more

We have eaten here a couple of times now and everything we've tried has been excellent! My favourites are the brisket and the ribs. I don't think you can get smoked BBQ like this anywhere nearby, it reminds me of Virgil's Real BBQ in the States. I can see why they sell out each and every day, I'm glad I get my lunch early ;) read more

Ordered takeout. Food was ready on time and everything was fantastic. Cornbread was some of the best I have had. Would recommend.

It is evident that lots of love and labour is put into the food. Constant brining, smoking and curing of all proteins, homemade sauces, etc. The sides that I have tried have been quite good. The fries were actually seasoned (a rarity in Whitehorse) and the beans were solid. The food is not cheap but the portions are sizable so the overall value is fairly good. Expect to pay between approximately 15-22 $CAD without a drink. Staff were extremely friendly and warm. The food truck is parked in a downtown park in Whitehorse. While it is certainly nice to be able to go outside to eat on nice days, this will be an annoyance during poor weather as well as all the seating in the park seems to get occupied by childrens' backpacks during the lunch hour (for some reason?!?!).
