Five stars is not really enough to get across how happy we are with his work. Earlier this summer, we found ourselves in a position no one wants to be in: dealing with an unexpected family loss. Compounding this situation was the fact that it occurred in a city that was not our own. Moving forward from this experience was going to be hard enough, but it also came with some pretty substantial home repair/renovation projects that needed to be done ASAP. Doing so in a town that is not our residence, and with contractors with whom we were not familiar, made it even more challenging. Through Yelp, we took a chance on finding a contractor to do a test run with a small but time-sensitive project, and Joshua came through with a really great bid and personal touch. His communication was exceptional, and his personality stood out in both in our online communication and again when we met in person. Most importantly, the care and commitment he brought to even this small project, plus the humanity and empathy he showed us during a really difficult time, made all the difference. We relayed to him the scope of the home repairs needed going forward, and asked if they were within his comfort zone. When he responded positively, we told him he was our go-to guy for every project needed on that house, and that we trusted him implicitly to do the work independently. He didn't let us down. He sent photos of his progress and gave us honest appraisals of what could be done, and what prices would be for labor and materials. He worked on a tight timeline and got the work done on time and on budget. Moreover, the quality of the work that he did approaches the level of artisan, not just contractor, to the point where I'd employ him for our own home projects if it was at all possible (it's not, sadly). I don't know what else I can say to relay our impressions of Joshua. He's the best contractor I've ever worked with, and I wish him nothing but success in the future. If you get a chance to work with him on a home project, consider yourself fortunate.

We were in need of some masonry work at our home and had the hardest time finding someone we could trust to do the work. We were ghosted several times, and the other bids we did get were clearly halfhearted and absurdly priced. We called Rock Founded Okc and talked to Sergio the same day. Within a few days his brother came out to measure our house and discuss the project with us - and a few days later they had gotten a detailed bid back to us and gave us flexibility on when we wanted to start. They started the next week and showed up early in the morning. They were very careful around our new windows and made sure to protect the house during demo. They quickly removed our old damaged brick and were ready to lay the new brick the next day. A few days later and we are left with a beautiful home again and they did an amazing job! They were great every day they were here and always communicated any changes/obstacles etc that came up during the job. We hired this contractor to build an addition, roof the house, install vinyl siding, paint the…read morebrick, install seamless guttering, and install 5 new windows. He hires family and friends to do the bulk of the work. Total cost of project was approximately $51,000. David Boyd asked for half down and the rest when the jobs were finished. Half-way through the addition job he asked for the remainder of the money because he had a balloon payment. We paid him $13000 down on the siding, paint, windows and guttering but only got the siding and partial painting. He kept telling us the materials and windows were on order and never had anyone finish the painting of the brick. Many spots were unpainted, they smeared cement on some of the brick and only did 2 of the 4 promised coats (even though Mr. Boyd stated he did 3 coats because the first coat apparently had a sealant added to the paint and he considered that 2 coats. After 2 months of waiting, one of his workers came by with the remaining 3 windows and installed two of them and then gave us a "contract" asking for $1500. We told him we were not going to give Mr. Boyd any more money until the project was completed. My husband spoke with Mr. Boyd on the phone and verified we didn't owe an additional $1500 on the project. He was supposed to come by for my husband to point out the floor in pantry wasn't level, they didn't secure the top piece of siding on the chimney and left a hammer on our chimney, they destroyed part of the window trim around the windows, the paint on the brick was the wrong color and not professionally finished, the wood trim around the kitchen window was botched, and they still needed to install one window. Mr. Boyd called to say he couldn't make it. We tried to reschedule but couldn't reach him on the phone. Finally got him on the phone and made another appointment for him to come by. He left a message saying he had an appointment in another town and my husband found another contract on our car window asking for $4050 to finish the job. He added the $1500 his nephew tried to collect when 2 of the 3 remaining windows were installed. The nephew had told us his uncle owed him $1500 and he wanted us to pay that bill. On the new "contract" Mr. Boyd indicated he was a small business and needed the money so that led us to believe he did not have the money to finish the job and if we had paid him the 50% down he wanted on the $4050 he still wouldn't have the funds to pay to have the work completed. This would only pay what he owed to his nephew. We paid the $1500 and had him give us a paid in full invoice and had his nephew (Mr. Boyd does not come in person to collect money after the initial payment) sign a lien release. We will never use this contractor again. We did not get any guttering or completion of the project and after looking at other contractors we realized he overcharges for his services. We are having to hire someone else to do the guttering and we are finishing the work ourselves. Never use this contractor.
