I was told management is doing Cocaine and the crew is smoking weed on job sites when there is a *company--no smoking" policy. But I was let go, due to being 18 minutes late one day, and I also have years more experience than the entire crew combined. So this is my honest review of McKown as an employer. They provide great service to customers, believe that, but if you want to work at McKown, be cautious of a heightened political business environment, and a lot of gossip and backstabbing from my honest observations. I come from a family of General Contractors and business owners, and this seemed very shady to me. I was blindsided. It feels hypocritical and two-faced, but business is business. I shook hands and walked away without disgruntlement, but if you hold me accountable for that reason, then please don't make me the only man with the finger pointed in his face when there are greater offenses being committed. That is all I'm saying really. Great company, just somewhat dysfunctional, and way too political and fickle.
