Mann’s Meat Processing - This is how neat Mann's Meat Processing packaged our hogs!

I have used them to process wild game (deer, hogs) for 10 years, they always do an exceptional job…read moreat a great price. Their on site domestic meat sales are also a great value. Highly recommended!!!

Mountain Meadow Hunting Preserve offered quartering or butchering through Mann's Meat Processing…read moreafter our hunt. We opted for butchering and based on the price, we were blown away by how we got our hogs back!!! The animal was butchered and cleaned based on the cuts we desired. We were provided soup bones, ribs, steaks, ground sausage (highly recommend and I will say this, it was worth it), roasts, chops, etc. they were vacuum sealed labeled and put into serving portions!!! Mann's has now set the bar for meat processing after a hunt. We were floored! It made it easy to give some to family and friends and far more legit than handing over bags of ziplocks. We were charged $200 each for a 250lb boar and 150lb sow. However that price is insignificant to what I got in return...I am still floored by how great a job they did of processing the meat! The kicker is Robert the guide dropped off the meat at Mann's about 1pm on Monday after our hunt and we got our meat in a box at 10am the following morning!!!!!!!! I highly recommend Mann's Meat Processing for your post hunting meat processing and packaging! Prices are cheap, they are fast and the quality is benchmark worthy!!! Thank you! My family and friends love the meat!

Yard Bull Meats is a small butcher shop located at 2203 Crystal Spring Ave in Roanoke, Virginia,…read more next to The River and Rail Restaurant. But don't let its small size fool you, this is Roanoke 's only Whole Animal Butcher Shop and it specializes in the best custom cuts & roasts, dry-aged steaks, sausages, deli meats, seafood; and they have the best pork loin chops and tenderloin. When I discovered it and went to check it out, I was amazed at the number of people entering this small space to purchase quality cuts of meats. One after another couples came in, while others couples went out. And they all seemed to be steady customers. The place was very clean with its brick walls painted in white, beautiful light color polished hardwood floors, and its refrigerated display cases, furniture, and equipment was so well maintained that they all looked new. But what impressed me the most was the friendly and knowledgeable staff who provided excellent customer service. They pride themselves in having the best steaks in town, such as the 35-day Dry-Age Bone-In Strip Steaks and Ribeyes - Deep, rich flavor with the perfect amount of funk. Their prices might not be the lowest, but with their superior quality and wonderful treatment provided, you definitely feel your getting above expectation value for your purchase. I highly recommend this Butcher Shop to all those who love quality meats and seafood. And to be given the red carpet treatment while they are shopping.

It's a very nice little shop, very clean and tidy. The staff was friendly on the phone and when I…read morewent in and placed an order for a prime rib roast to be a late Mother's Day present. Two days later when I returned, I received a beautiful product, perfectly cut, trimmed and packaged. It weighed a few more pounds than I expected, so the $50 deposit and the $200 I brought with me wasn't enough. I don't mind paying for top quality though, and their beef is top notch. I had to put the last $139 on my debit card and this is where they lost the fifth star. When I put my card in the machine, a tipping option came up on the screen. There were four guys behind the counter staring at me, and everything went frosty when I pushed the "no tip" button. I always tip wait staff 20% or more because I know the lion's share of their wages come from their tips. I KNOW it is not required to tip the butcher though. These guys earn a living wage, and frankly I had my fingers crossed that there was enough money on my card to cover the rest of the cost of the roast. It made me very uncomfortable, and I left feeling like the staff believed I had slighted them. So, in conclusion, if you want the best beef in Roanoke has to offer, this is the place to shop. If you want to avoid an uncomforable conclusion, bring enough cash to cover your purchase and avoid getting the stare down over the card transaction.
