Therefore, once I entered after the game start time (7 pm) it was standing room only. With that in mind, parking was hectic. Luckily I was able to find parking about a half a mile away from the football field. Nevertheless, the stadium is still in good shape after several years of existence. There is only one scoreboard and the home seating section is much larger than the visitor seating section. For a high school ticket pricing is $6 for adults and for school age children $3. Several concessions were available this Friday night. I even had a chance to get some of my favorite popcorn from the food truck, Mike's Italian Ice. He was present in addition to the concession provided by the school. The concession lines remained long all game long. But they seemed to move fast. Pricing is available for all to see so no need to wonder what they do and do not sell. Security was in full effect and overall it was a great night for football. The Hornets won in case you were wondering! During this game, the school also honored their long time Principal - Mr. Fry. They named the stadium in his honor. Even though it was a packed game night, I didn't experience any wait time as I exited the stadium or from my parking spot. Have fun and enjoy life.

When people talk about Oscar Smith High School, so many only mention football. As a proud parent, I…read morewant people to know there is so much more to this school. Oscar Smith has been a huge part of my family's story. My oldest son graduated in the top 30% of his class while balancing life as a student-athlete. This year, my youngest son graduated in the top 12% of his class, and I truly believe the AVID and IB programs played a major role in helping him reach his full potential. I've also had nephews attend Oscar Smith, so I've had the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact this school has on its students over many years. The teachers genuinely care. They don't simply push students from one grade to the next--they challenge them, encourage them, and expect greatness because they know their students are capable of it. That's the kind of education every child deserves. I can't say enough about the counselors. Mr. Barber and Ms. Morgan are the kind of people every school needs. They truly care about students, not just academically, but personally. They make sure students know someone is in their corner, and that kind of support can change a child's life. I don't want to forget Ms Martin my nephew love her she was his advocate and it showed she was definitely one of my top three teachers. A special thank you goes to Ms. Fallon, the AVID Coordinator. She is one of the most dedicated educators I've ever met. She constantly found ways to keep students engaged, motivated, and involved. What stood out most was that she never made it "her way or no way." She listened to her students, valued their opinions, and made them feel like they had a voice. That is a rare gift in education. I also want to recognize Dr. Rick for being such a strong advocate for the AVID program. If your child ever has the opportunity to join AVID, say yes. It will push them outside of their comfort zone, teach them leadership, accountability, organization, and prepare them for college and life in ways that are hard to put into words. For parents who only hear rumors about Oscar Smith, don't let the hearsay keep you from seeing what this school truly offers. Yes, there is an outstanding athletic program, but there are also students graduating with 5.0 GPAs, earning scholarships, getting accepted into top universities, and achieving incredible things. Oscar Smith celebrates excellence both on the field and in the classroom. As a parent, I am beyond grateful for every teacher, counselor, administrator, and staff member who invested in my children and my nephews. It truly takes a village to raise successful young adults, and Oscar Smith has been a very important part of ours. Thank you for believing in our children, challenging them to be their best, and reminding them that excellence is always worth pursuing. That is a legacy that will last far beyond graduation.

Not only do they educate in history, math, science, English, etc. but they also aide in teaching what is taught in our home as well. Basics such as honesty, integrity, building character, common courtesy & decency- something that unfortunately many have forgotten the importance of. The teachers & administration have always been extremely helpful when needed. In a world that wishes to bring our children down versus building them up, thank you PCS for all your hard work & dedication to our children's education & upbringing. SN-In regards to the 1 star review listed I would like to say, I've personally witnessed how hard the school staff works with the upkeep of PCS & have NEVER witnessed any rats, bugs, etc. even during the building/expansion process a few years ago. Also considering the time that review was written, I believe it more than likely was someone not affiliated with the school at all but that is just my personal opinion after being in the school 100's of times myself.
