I recently had a chipped tooth. I was able to get in right away. .they fixed the tooth but for some reason a different tooth started giving me problems. I have a swollen jaw and pain up the side of my face. Doc prescribed an antibotic and told me to call if any issues. I did call and he gave me further instructions which helped. I continued to improve. This happen over new years weekend. I was impressed that he always answered my questions and helped me through. Shirley Baker read more

Smith Dental is made up of very open and honest practitioners of dentistry. From the moment you walk in the office to when you leave everyone is so very helpful and supportive of our dental care. My wife and I look forward to our twice a year trip to Owatonna from the twin-cities. Dr. Smith and the entire team work hard at keeping our teeth healthy and diagnosing potential problems in the future. Also, when we have had a minor emergency they made room for us when a tooth was cracked or chipped. We have been patients of Dr. Smith and team for over ten years. Thank you Smith Dental. read more

Do not recommend! Go somewhere where they actually update your account according to what you tell them. I had told the office that a secondary policy had been cancelled. Then, because someone 'didn't remember' I had told them that, the inactive policy information was left on my account. Later, I was pressured to schedule work to be done by the end of the year because they said I had money left in my benefit... from the policy I told them was cancelled... I had no idea that was the policy they were referring to. Long story short, I'm on the hook now for a huge bill that they would have known wasn't covered if they had done proper clerical work and removed the secondary policy information from my account when I told them it was no longer active. Very, very disappointing! UPDATE1/21: They emailed this morning and are mad that I shared my experience, so are adding an amount they had adjusted off, back onto the bill. I had my first filling done by Dr Smith and Delana today, Excellent visit!!! Dr. Smith's numbing technique is outstanding, I didn't feel a thing. Delana is awesome!! I am so happy with this experience. Highly recommend Smith Dental Care. read more

Dr. Thomas M Smith spent his early years in north-western Minnesota attending Crookston Cathedral, then pursuantly broadened his education as a student of Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN. Subsequently, he was accepted into the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry where his studies rewarded him with the skills and knowledge to obtain his Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery. After graduating, Dr. Smith devoted years developing his expertise while practicing side-by-side with adept Dentists in the Twin Cities, greater St. Cloud, and Red Wing communities; before continuing on to establish his very own practice. Smith Dental Care, P.A. was originated in Owatonna, MN on June 30, 2007. Dr. Smith's devotion to being the best in his field is reflected by his constant desire for continual learning and his aspiration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry and oral health.
