The company did initially reply to my email, and I set up an appointment. No one showed. (Their booking calendar specifies that the customer can choose a date and time that works for them) I emailed to find out where they were, and was told they got held up on another job. I finally had to cancel 5 hours later when they still hadn't come, since I had other things to do. A bit later, I emailed them and said I'd give them another chance. I got no reply.

The drain tailpieces were barely in the drain pipe. Joints were not sealed. I sent Craig a message about the leaks. Agreed to come back and fix the problem on 4/18/24. On 4/16/24 I asked him to confirm the appointment which he did. I took a morning off to be home for the 9 am appointment. He did not show up or call. He then sent me a text at 6:40pm saying he wanted to come the next day. Did a shady job and has zero respect for customers time. On the day he installed the faucets he did not show up or call . I ended up canceling my afternoon commitments because he didn't show up in the morning as scheduled. Qualify of work was very poor, does not keep appointments.

Greenway Painting - Carl Grtizovic

I love GreenWay Painting!…read more My husband and I have owned a home for just about a year now, and we are so happy to have found GreenWay because they do excellent work at a very reasonable price. We've had them work on 3 projects (and are set for a couple more) since moving in: 1. Painting the linoleum floor in our basement. The previous owners of our house had left an oddly-shaped section of linoleum floor in the basement. Replacing the floor was out of our budget, as was putting tile or laminate over top. On a whim, I googled 'painting linoleum floor' and was super relieved to see it was possible...but slightly disheartened to learn that when attempted as a DIY project it usually didn't last for very long or had mixed results. That was when I saw a GreenWay Painting business card at Reality Tuesday and gave them a call. This was our first time working with them and Carl, the owner, was very courteous and professional. A couple days later we had a beautiful deep, dark brown painted linoleum floor instead of the faded yellow floral monstrosity. A year later, it is in like-new condition still. 2. Cleaning our dryer vents. I got an email back in the winter that GreenWay was offering a special on dryer vent cleaning. I gave them a call, had it scheduled and one of their guys came out to clean the vent. He ended up not needing to clean the vent...and this is why I'm bringing this up - it's so difficult to find a trustworthy handman type company, so imagine my surprise when the guy came back upstairs and told me there was nothing to clean so he would be on his way. He could have just 'cleaned' the vent and charged me for it and I would have never known. But he didn't. I wasn't even charged a fee for having someone come out to do nothing. This is why I will always use GreenWay - they have such great integrity. 3. Replacing the caulking around our tub in the shower. Kyle from GreenWay did this work. The previous home owners had put grout around the tub to seal it to the tile our shower has in it. Over time, the grout started cracking and splitting. We called GreenWay and they came out and peeled out the grout and replaced it with some very nice caulking. About 2 or 3 weeks later, we got a call from Kyle asking us how the caulking was doing. He had used the same product in his own bathroom and noticed it was separating and bubbling. As it turned out, it was doing the same in our bathroom. So, Kyle came out and replaced the caulking again. Again... the integrity in this company is incredible. Kyle did this work for free, and contacted us on his own. It's clear that GreenWay takes its work very seriously and is proud of what they do. Up next we're going to have them install a back-splash in our kitchen and I can't wait to see what great work they will do. Don't hesitate to call GreenWay if you need painting or other handy work done - they will do it honestly, correctly and professionally.

Contracted to have them power wash and stain/paint my deck. PAINTING should be straight seamless…read morestrokes. Not circular strokes or straitish strokes with blotchy breaks. Just on some of the vertical (rail and support) boards. (Really!? Maybe one untrained worker? But why would you let someone paint without having been taught the basic skills? ) They did repaint what I could see during the walk through. But, if a more transparent stain had been used reapplying would not have covered up the initial bad paint job. I will have to sand and repaint what still looks spotty in the fall. The floor looks good. If it doesn't peel at least I have that. ALSO: first and second day needed to use the bathroom less than 20 minutes after arriving at 8am. Third (extra) day they were told beforehand that the house would be locked. ( I had to run errands throughout the day). Few days later I found soiled napkins/ wipes and a big shit log on my property!! McDondals is less than 10 minutes away!! Healthy people can tell (hold it for) at least 15 minutes before they actually must do a #2. Aren't most homes locked since most clients work 9 to 5 .??! So shouldn't they be used to coordinating their potty breaks and lunches around their work? Their contract looked so professional. They sounded professional. Had some good reviews. I guess I should have dropped by their office.

Extremely pleased with Chris Hollon Construction. I was nervous outsourcing work for the first…read moretime in a house. I initially did the framing myself for a basement finishing and realized I was in over my head. Chris came out, pointed out some key pieces, and got me a rough estimate quote right away. We later met at his office and went through the final itemized total and really was a very reasonable price and time line. All of the workers with Chris were punctual, polite, and did a phenomenal job. Everyone treated the job like it was their own home and the quality showed! Again, I was nervous trying to pick folks after my parents and friends have all had bad experiences of poor work or people taking the money and running. EVERY aspect of the interaction with Chris and his team made me feel comfortable with the process. I would 100% use Chris Hollon again. Hopefully doing a deck this summer or next!

In mid-July 2024, we met with Chris Hollon (owner) regarding a deck and patio replacement, two…read moreoutdoor fireplaces, and a roof over part of the deck. He quoted a price lower than competitors and claimed the job could be done by Halloween. I work in construction and know this was unrealistic since we hadn't signed a contract or picked out materials yet. On August 7, we signed the contract and paid a 1/3 deposit, with 4 equal payments to follow. Shortly after, we met on-site again. Chris dismissed the Halloween timeline (his own estimate) but said crews would be available and it could be done by Thanksgiving. By September, we selected stone, composite, and rail types and sent them to Chris. Work didn't begin until early October, after repeated, unanswered calls to Chris and Todd Payne (general manager). The patio was poured around October 21. In November, no work occurred. Chris and Todd blamed a truss plant fire and LVL beam shortages. Todd repeatedly asked me about the composite color--despite it already being sent. Framing started the first week of December. On day one, Todd called to ask if I was home to give the framer engineered drawings--not something I should need to handle. During framing, Chris contacted me more than ever--not about progress, but to upsell a new roof with a "family discount." I declined. Right before the holidays, Chris asked for the second payment early and promised major progress while we were out of town. We declined since less than half the phase was complete. While away, he walked back his claim. When we returned, the only new work was the shingled deck roof. A dump trailer had been left in our driveway the entire time. When I asked for it to be removed, Todd said it had a flat tire and asked me to inflate it, which I did just to get rid of it. January and February saw minimal progress. Fireplaces and rough electrical were completed late January. Weather caused some delays, but 4 months in and we still had no decking or rails. Decking started March 18--3 months after Chris said it would be done. The sub did quality work but showed up late and left early. Work picked up in March and April, and I began making partial payments as progress resumed. My wife started texting Chris frequently to get things moving. Eventually, he snapped, replying to her: "this is harassment" and "I don't need your attitude." He never apologized. Later, when Chris came on-site, I confronted him. He admitted he underbid the project and begged us not to share what we paid. He insisted he never said we could paint the patio ceiling (even though he had) and argued over it until I asked him to stop. I gave him color swatches for trim and ceiling stain--he lost them and asked again. We resent them, and weeks later Todd asked for the colors again. By late April, painting, stonework, gutters, trim, and patio ceiling were complete. Rust stains on the patio--caused by tools left out all winter--were removed. Chris requested another payment; I declined until full completion. The project was finally completed May 8, 2025, and we paid in full on May 9--8 months after work started. I do not recommend this contractor. Unprofessional, rude, and unreliable. Chris behaves more like a buddy than a contractor--talking about microdosing mushrooms and politics instead of job progress. After hiring him, I read online reviews. I was surprised by the positives but also shocked by how negatively the company responded to criticism--calling one customer "delusional" and dismissing others with "you can't make everyone happy." Everything here is factual and can be supported with the contract, photos, and saved texts
