A wise old bird…read more. Today was the day I had a wise old tooth removed. I said my goodbyes last week with a sugary milkshake and about 300grams of homemade jerky. But today We both knew it was time for him to leave.. The appointment was early, 11am.. Earlier than i care to wake up but I knew today was not going to be your average day.. I arrived up with a smile on my face that was about to be broken.. I sat at the entrance and waited my turn. in for the 3D x-ray. cool. Into the comfortable chair. Cool.. 4 yokes and a half cup of 7up. wahey! we're flying... Then he whips out the needles.. stickin' me like a pregnant junkie that aint claimin no benefits. A hungry fucker. jab jab. "Now you just sit there and let that soak in". back in a tick, shade on for the apporaching bright light. face like a slapped arse, still raw and ready, cant feel a thing. Then ol' bainne bags walks in with her tiny hoover to suck out my face juices while the toothscaper technician shticks his wallet in the other side of my mouth to keep me from biting his hand off... can still taste his leap card.. Sure I dont know where to look. trying not to lick his fingers with a great big set of mammary glands obstructs my peripherals. yanking at my jaw while using his foot on my chest to leverage torque. yi'd swear he thought i was giving birth to a tiny impacted dead rotten baby rather than a wise ol' tooth that had seen it all. click clack, pop' shes out. sewn it all back together.. stritly pints of yogurt for the next 3days. No hash for 48hours. lovely. only another 27 to go..

I just had all four of my wisdom teeth removed here today - despite my new resemblance to a…read morechipmunk (which I suppose can't be helped), it went much better than I'd feared. Frankly, I didn't feel a thing (thanks, sedation!). It's an easy 10 minute walk from the LUAS Sandyford stop, which I appreciate, & there's an Insomnia coffee shop right next door (handy for my post-op escort). The place was super clean, and everybody from the receptionist to the surgeon had that balance of professional and easy-going as I was walked through every step of what to expect both during and after the surgery. It was €150 for the initial consultation & x-rays, but my insurance covered everything else, so fair play (their website has a price list as well, which is cool). I was there, start to finish, for an hour and a half. I don't remember half of it, which in this case is a very good thing. Definite recommend.
