First a confession: I worked at Smiggle a couple of years ago. I did, it is true and I am not ashamed to admit it.
Having been away from the brand for a while now I recently visited my local store in Camberwell (I didn't work here) to check out the products and see what I had been missing.
I am a stationary lover and enjoy playing with pens and attempting to organize my life with colour coordinated diaries and books - yes it never works, but I enjoy the challenge.
Smiggle still seems to be delivering on the fun factor with bright colours, scented stationary and cute designs.
While I do admit that I have moved on to more restrained and simple stationary - although I did pick up some pens from Smiggle the other day, I was impressed with how much the range has grown. Sure there are pens and books, but there are also diaries, drink bottles, watches, money boxes, high tech erasers and funky pacers.
I have to say that the sales assistant at this particular store was great. She was friendly and outgoing and seemed to genuinely enjoy her place of work. read more
