Let me paint the picture, you cut an avocado in half, then from that half you cut a slice, then you cut that slice in 3 small pieces, that's what the "avocado" burger brings. The burger was also on the smaller size. For $7 it definitely could have used a little more beef. The lettuce and tomato they provide a good amount of. Overall the burger was okay nothing special or that you wouldn't get from say a Steak 'n Shake . Definitely should give more avocado or simply not call this the avocado burger. read more

Honestly, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Smashburger for the first time. I happened to be in the UCF area, and it was an impromptu decision to stop in and try out a new restaurant. As with most places nowadays, Smashburger is best described as "fast-casual" meaning that you order your meal at the register and then sit down to wait a few minutes for someone to bring out your food. In this respect, Smashburger really should change their name to Fastburger. Our burgers arrived at our table literally within five minutes of paying for them. Moreover, the quality of the food at Smashburger is excellent. I decided to go with a chicken burger and a side of smash fries (ordered separately), and my burger was moist yet healthful with a multigrain bun, while my shoestring fries were crisp and delicious. I honestly hate shoestring french fries, but somehow the cut didn't even matter to me because the fries were so fresh. Also, I got a chance to try out the nutter butter milkshake and it did not disappoint! Overall, I loved my first experience at Smashburger. If you're into burgers, fries, and milkshakes, I'm sure you'll love it too. This is similar to five guys, but much nicer and more options/toppings. The burgers we ordered were 1/3lb. We did Create Your Own.. I got grilled onion and American cheese (nothing fancy). I typically like my burgers a little on the bloody side, but I understand with such a thin burger it is very difficult to heat it to the right temp and still get some blood. It was cooked very well and very juicy. I also got a strawberry milk shake which was very yummy. Their fries are thin and crispy just how I like! The staff here was very friendly and attentive. We had multiple employees come up to us while we were eating asking if everything was going alright. The service was great! The resturants itself is pretty big and has a good amount of seating space! You don't feel cramped or anything like that. -Buffalo Blue Cheese burger: Amazing! I love anything with buffalo sauce on it so I was in heaven and they were not stingy with the blue cheese! I would most definitely recommend this burger! -Smash Fries: The larger order of fries is definitely large, our fries were great! Finally tried Smashburger after I was in the area and found a Groupon. It was good, but nothing too impressive. The menu here is pretty good and it gives lots of options for customizations as you can choose from any sandwich with beef, chicken (grilled or fired), or mushroom. There are a lot of great choices of toppings and their signature Smash Sauce was a really good addition to my burger. They also have hand spun milkshakes which were also really good along with my burger and fries. Overall though, yeah it was a good burger, but there are a lot more options out there that I think are better for about the same price or cheaper. We have been twice now, both time because our first choice for lunch had a line wrapped around and we can't willingly wait 25 minutes to place our order for quick service. There was nobody in line when we walked into Smashburger, major plus. We waited at the counter for about 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. When the cashier did walk away from the window, where she was waiting and watching food be cooked, she pulled milk shake tickets off the counter, started them blending THEN acknowledged us. We placed our orders, which is really easy, a few burgers to choose from or a build your own section. We both got meals,and our food came out super fast. My burger was delicious (beef patty, pickles, bbq sauce, bacon and ) and Andys triple double was great too. His smash tots (tots with rosemary) were perfectly cooked and seasoned, my fried pickles were very oily, but had good pickle flavor so I would try them again. When the cashier dropped off the food she apologized for the wait, so that was a big victory. All in all, will we be back? Yes. Will it be our top choice for lunch? Visited for the first time with a coupon, and was impressed. While the regular burger I ordered initially looked disappointing as it is smaller than other places offer, it tasted great. Even better than the burger were the sides, as the smashfries in garlic and olive oil were delicious, as were the haystack onions. I've been to Smashburger before in the past, but this time actually counted since I got to experience it with my son. We don't always agree on all things food-related, but one thing we do see eye to eye on is that we both LOVE burgers. The next best thing to my homemade smash burgers are the ones from Smashburger. My son agrees. This is a big compliment seeing how we both love our homemade burgers on our griddle. No matter what you order on the menu it's all good and you really can't miss. My son decided to build his own burger and the Central Florida grabbed my attention. We both really enjoyed our burgers and shared a basket of fries. I could definitely see this place as one of our go to spots for our guys night outs. Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered suggestions while we navigated the menu. Saw deals on Groupon so my hubby and I decided to check the place out. Place was clean and organized was not too busy, and it was a Sunday. The cashier suggested (since it was our first time ) to download the app for savings on our order. The wife had heard about Smashburger from a few of her coworkers so we thought we'd give them a try. We typically avoid burger franchises and tend to stick to locally owned businesses but because of what she was told about the food, we thought we'd give them a try. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was that they chose an odd location in Waterford Lakes. If you have ever been to Waterford you know that some areas are harder than others to access in heavy traffic. They did not pick a good location to put their business in my opinion due to traffic flow and parking. The inside was rather large but there is one area with very few tables which seemed odd for a dining area of this size. You place your order and they give you a number and then your food is brought to you. She chose the regular Spicy Jalapeno Baja with a regular Buffalo Fires with a cup of water and I tried the Large Avocado Club with a regular smashfries and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake. $23.00 and change seemed a bit excessive for what we ordered so I was expecting some great food for this price. First I was brought my milkshake and I will admit, it was one of the best milkshakes I have ever tried. I have had this same style milkshake from several other places but this was the best PBnJ version I have had. The best part was how small pieces of the peanut butter came through the straw and melted on your tongue. Well done... My wife loved her burger but since Jalapeno's and I don't get along well, I took her word for it. Her favorite part was the fresh Jalapeno's. Her fries were well cooked but were far from "Buffalo style" because they skimped on the spicy seasoning. My burger was cooked well but... The mayo was overpowering the avocado and they did not spread out the avocado so it was just like a single lump. I had one bite where there was no mayo and that was great. 86 the mayo or just put it on the side guys. The smashfries had a great flavor but too much oil on them. A light toss with the rosemary oil would have been better. After our meal my wife noticed she forgot to give me a $2.00 off coupon when I was at the register. I let the cashier know and the manager came right over and took it off my meal. He handled the situation very well and I let him know about the quality of service one of his employees was providing to keep the dining area spotless. I was up front with him of the assessment of our dining experience and let him know I would be posting a review. He was very humble and seemed genuinely interested in what I will post. Summary: The food had some minor issues but nothing too severe but I just feel they have priced their food too high given that it is not a full service restaurant. You should try this place at least once. It's not the best burger I've had, but it is decent. As everyone has said before, the customer service is top notch at this place. I've been to a location in Colorado and probably had some slight nostalgia leading up to trying this place again. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. I had the regular cheeseburger with the fixings. It was bland. The fries on the other had were very good. A bit similar to steak and shake's, but they give you the option to shake things up by offering different toppings and flavors (like parmesan and rosemary, or buffalo style). And, It's not that as if the food was terrible, it was just that I've been to a few other burger places in the area that really do it well, like BurgerFi. First let me start by saying that the customer service here is very nice. All the staff were professional and polite. However, the food leaves much to be desired. This was my first time here. We ordered a regular BBQ bacon cheeseburger, regular avocado club chicken sandwich, large buffalo fry, and a drink which came to a bit more than $20. While that amount is not uncommon for a casual restaurant for two in the area I don't think the food warranted it. Everything seemed to be run of the mill Sysco food (a food distributor for restaurants) that they just reheated. Nothing seemed like it was made in house. Also, the avocado on the chicken sandwich was brown. There are plenty of other burger/salad/chicken sandwich restaurants in the area that put more effort into the food. read more

This a review just for their milk shake, which is all I had. Super good though!! It will cost you $4.25 for a plain milkshake like vanilla, strawberry or chocolate. They have an Oreo and peanut butter one that is a bit more. I got the strawberry milkshake and it was on point! Super rich, milky and great flavor with whipped cream on top! They make their milkshakes with only Haagen Dazs ice cream so you can really taste the richness of the ice cream. The menu looked great, will have to come back for the food! Location is in Waterford lakes but on the Home Depot side so it's much quieter then the stores across the street, which means more parking ! Recommend the milkshake 100% read more

I ordered the Spicy Cowboy burger and some fried pickles on the side. The burger was delicious and it was made very well. It was my first time trying the fried pickles and I honestly wasn't impressed. They were soggy and I wish they would be more crunchy. My boyfriend ordered The Central Florida Smashburger. Burgers are his favorite food, so he had an impression that he had a better burger elsewhere. However, he really liked the fried green tomatoes that were on the burger. The cashier and the server were nice, but it didn't appear to me that they were excited to work there. The place is nice. The atmosphere and attire are very interesting. The food is good and made with fresh ingredients. The milkshakes are delicious. But there is nothing very special about the Smashburger that will make me want to drive all the way to Waterford lakes just for their burgers.
