I went to smash Burger on a Friday night and was starving after watching a football game, I ordered a classic smash with fries and a medium drink and the price was $11.25, I waited for my food for a while but when I got it my burger was small while it looked bigger in the photo. I was kind of disappointed for how long I waited for my food and was expensive for a small burger and not that many fries and the flavor wasn't really there. I've gone to burger restaurants and ordered bigger burgers and more fries for the same price and even tasted better, if you're hungry I do not recommend coming here. read more

Sunday, march 5th, 2017. Love the food. However , my friend and i called in and ordered food at 3:45 and arrived at 4pm and received our food at 4:20. Our order was sitting on the counter the entire time as we saw others come and go with their orders. We waited 20min. There were two young ladies, both slim, one light skin with glasses and the other, dark skin. The one with glasses was unprofessional, cursing at the gentlemen working behind the register and also gossiping with the other slim one. Finally, we asked about our order and they gave us our food. The slim dark skinned girl was asked if they knew our order was there and she lied stating she called out my friend's name. She didn't. And then said "honestly, i don't care." Great food, unprofessional staff. Needs VAST improvement in costumer service. In my opinion, Ratings and businesses suffer mostly from poor costumer service, guys. Great food isn't the main thing that makes a food franchise successful. Find something else to do with your life if you "honestly, don't care". Read "How To Win Friends and Influence People". Went there Monday, with the family. Burgers used to be made with more toppings. Only one tomato per burger. When we inquired, we were told they were "almost out of tomatoes". How does a burger place run out of tomatoes. Thankfully there are many other burger options nearby that won't skimp out on things. read more

Went there for lunch on a Thursday, it was almost deserted which made the service very fast ;-) It was the first time for me and I tried the New Yorker along with a side of rosemary fries. The fries were AMAZING, although the bottom ones were swimming in grease. The burger was also good, in my opinion better than ShakeShack and simply different from Five Guys. Manager wouldn't give me change for the meter. Told him the app was working on my phone. He told me he doesn't drive so he has no clue about that. So he went back to cook in the kitchen. So the manager is one of the cooks. Hmmm under staffed much... Horrible customer service. Burger got me sick for 3 days probably old meat or raw meat was left out at room Temp. to long. Who knows I would never go back there place is disgusting. Never clean. Cooks don't wear gloves or hair nets. The Smash burger in Pelham is 10x better. People actually take pride in working there. I do have to say Connie the works the register was nothing but nice and hospitable. She gets 5 stars!! Everything else in that place barely deserves a star! I have been going to Smashburger for quite some time and I've had good service there but now times have changed. I went in today to order some food to go and service was fine placing the order. We are waiting and there is another man waiting as well, he must've been waiting for some time. He was distraught when he got his meal because after he got it he asked if he can get his receipt and a number to call for the TERRIBLE service he got. After he said that I started getting skeptical about my order. I go home and open my meal (I got the Bacon Avocado Club and smash fries), the fries were decent but I go and unwrap my burger and it was drenched in ranch dressing and the bun was soaked. I tried this place when it first opened a few years back. Bad experience, both my mother and I left with stomach aches. Tried it again (6/21/17), walking in, I was blocked from entering the establishment by a misplaced queue line which left multiple people confused on where to stand on line. I will never be going back to this restaurant. I placed an order online, my fiancé went to pick it up and the restaurant informed him that there was no order placed and we must have ordered at the wrong location online. I checked my receipt and it confirmed it was Mamaroneck. After multiple attempts trying to get connected with an employee we were put on hold for 10 mins and forgotten about, we called back again and the manager was so disorganized. When I went in to get a refund on my credit card she didn't even apologize or give me a free meal with my refund. I love Smashburger!! My first discovery was through my sister who frequents the Hicksville location out on Long Island, and when I finally gave it a shot, it got my vote. The burgers are so tasty and super juicy, just bursting with tons of flavor without being too salty or overly seasoned. The veggie fries are a healthy-ish alternative to the potato fries, and their shakes are pretty good as well. Pricing is decent, and the service is friendly, too. This location is pretty spacious and its one of the better quick eats around Mamaroneck. read more

We've been here many times since it opened and its gotten worse overtime. What used to be a buzzing, fun restaurant is now filthy with poor service and disgruntled workers. The last 3 times I was there the person working the grill was overwhelmed and snapping at the person at the register. The place smells like a dirty mop and the floor is ALWAYS slippery. Hard to enjoy your food when you have that smell around you. Today it took us 20 mins to get our food and while we were waiting 2 people walked out because their orders took long. I absolutely love the food. It's such a shame the service was so poor that the rating I am giving suffered because of it. Customer service is lacking big time. As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for years, I would never curse and gossip with my coworkers while customers are waiting to be tended to- or at all for that matter. Further more, if I messed up in any way shape or form, I wouldn't give an attitude to the customers and verbally tell them "I don't care". Where is management?!? No matter where you work, you should always do it to the best of your ability or at the very least not make the customers feel like you're inconveniencing them for providing a service that they are getting paid for. I am not much of a burger eater, but since Smashburger is close to my home, I come in for an occasional refueling of their fries as a pick me up. Here the devotee has a real choice. The standard fries are crispy and tasty, the Veggie Frites are worth trying and keeping on tap when the gustatory brain demands variety, but the special Smashfries are the real winners. These are thin crisp fries tossed with chopped rosemary, garlic, and olive oil. I haven't tried the sweet potato fries because I don't like sweet potatoes (it's something in my blood). I will try the Haystack Onions one of these days. Whatever the variety, these well-thought-out sides don't cost much, they are easy to eat without making a mess, and they satisfy a certain human need. read more

Ehhh... Smash is an ok place on mamaroneck ave. The first time I went, the location was new and clean. I had a regular cheese burger and a chocolate shake. I was surprised later when I looked up my meal online to find that these two things alone added up to way more than 1000 calories. SO GOOD. Smashburger is definitely in my top 5 best burgers I've ever had after enjoying their Truffle Mushroom Burger (beef patty, truffle mayo, cremini mushrooms and swiss cheese). You know I used to be a fan of this place, smash burger that is. But I noticed that the quality of the workers have declined. It's dirty and they can't even get your order right. One time I ordered a spicy chicken burger with lettuce and onions. I clearly said no mayo or tomatoes. They did put no tomatoes on it but they filled it with mayo. When I got back in line to tell them what was wrong it took forever to get in touch with a worker. All I have to say is the food is good but service and atmosphere is not. Just opened and it shows. Place was crowded at 11PM on a Saturday night. First time eating at a Smashburger and was pretty psyched after I saw the menu. Waited in line for around 10 minutes and waited another 15 minutes minutes for the take out order. First was given the wrong order when I noticed the ticket taped to the bag had different burgers than what I ordered. Okay, no problem. Waited another 5 minutes and they called my name again. Checked the ticket and it had the right order. When I got home, the contents of the bag unfortunately did not match the ticket. They got half of the order right and the other half was someone else's order. Pretty unhappy after waiting so long, but we ate it anyways. The toppings are above average, but the burgers are way overcooked and dry. I don't get it. This is a burger joint that can't get burgers right. What am I missing? read more

You don't expect world class service at a place like this, but after the experience I had with one of their staff my family and I will never patronize this place again. Called to place a pickup order at 10:22pm. They close at 11pm. Phone is answered and I am placed on hold for several minutes. Then this scumbag answers and you can hear the tone right away. Tells me that he isn't taking any phone orders because somebody ordered $50 of food and didn't show up. I tell him to charge my card over the phone if he wants.
