A lot is at the back where you can't see it unless you had help!! No treatment could have saved this then and they knew it, but failed to tell me this, rather, just get a color slapped on the best they could to suffice and scoot me out the door because they knew they weren't seeing me again! As soon as they were done, I was a lost cause. They make it sound like they care while you're there but it's all a facade. They haven't even contacted me since I left to see how my hair was holding up, IF it was!?! I'm so heartbroken! 15+ years of growth breaking off, just gone. I was looking for someone long term to care for me, my family, and extended family - friends hairs and this is how I get treated. Not sure what happened at 35 but my crown of hair got really wavy, annoyingly wavy. I'd have to round brush blow dry it so it was be straight. Now all my hair is wavy and I've always disliked it. So I've had 3 Brazilian blow outs. Last one was 6 months ago. I've decided to just learn how to make my natural wave look better. Someone recommended Abigail Poole with The Willow an Organic Concepts Salon. I had an appt with her today! She tested a strand of my hair and said I was lacking protein so I need a strengthening shampoo and conditioner. Haven't picked one yet, they have some options at the salon. She also said we should be shampooing our hair twice to make sure scalp is clean, this will help going longer without oily hair. A clarifying shampoo is important! They have some with charcoal that you can use daily that don't strip your hair of natural oils. She went step by step in the process of what type of products to use after washing my hair and told me not to squeeze out all the water from my hair. She should me when mop scrunch and when to rake product and how to section it. Also the best way to use a diffuser. My hair has NEVER looked like it does today lol. I can also train my hair to spiral! It's more curly at the root than the ends most likely from the brazillian blow outs. The pics are from when it was still a little damp. You don't dry it all the way and add oil so it won't get frizzy. Learned so much!!! These are organic products that smell amazing. Also got a small bottle of pureology leave in conditioner. They were out of the full size.

I asked at the beginning of the appointment if it would take more than one appointment, and she responded with "no". The stylist, Kailey, applied foils to lighten my hair. While the foils were in, she handed me an iPad with a form, which I later discovered was a waiver. When she handed me the form she said, "We just need some of your information". When Kailey applied the toner, it started turning my hair purple. She washed my hair multiple times to get the toner out, but the final result was light brown with purple tips, not what I had requested. I expressed this to her while she was blow drying. She said I can try adding more toner but had said before the toner was turning my hair purple. I said, "Why would I want to add more toner if you said it was turning my hair purple?" She said we could schedule another appointment, but it would take 3-4 more hours and at this point I lost all trust in her capabilities. A few days later after multiple calls to the salon requesting to speak with a manager, I spoke with co-owner Cassidy, who informed me that the waiver I signed did not allow refunds. I requested a partial refund due to the discrepancy between the service provided and my initial request. The TOTAL COST WAS $280. Seeing is I technically didn't sign the waiver until I had already begun the lightening process, I believe I deserved a partial refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
