I walked in without an appointment and they were very nice. They checked me in right away. My stylist was Nikki, she was very attentive and asked what I would like done. I produced a picture and she did a great job. The store was very clean and very organized. I will be going back and would recommend this shop to any of my friends. read more

I got some groceries then stopped at smart style to get a haircut but the gate was down and the lady at checkout said she was probably on break. I stopped at 6:22 p.m. and stood for 20 mins. then walked to a bench to sit and wait until she came back. My son came in at 7:00 to check on me and said the lights were out and went and talked to her through the gate and said what do you do ,come off break and close? So I went down and asked her the same thing and sure enough she was checking out. I told her I'd been waiting for almost 40 mins. and all she said was I'm sorry! On the way home I checked the website and I called and she said she was the manager and I told her it said she closed at 8:00 on Friday. I told her I'd never get my haircut done there again and I'd find another salon and she told me with my attitude that would be a good idea. She said she'd been on her feet since 9:00 a.m. and she was tired! Isn't that what she signed up for to work there? One girl on my way out said she was sorry that that happened to me. I said it's ok but I'll find somewhere else. read more

Michelle was wonderful! She understood the texture changes I've had in my hair with age and illness…read morerecovery. She listened to me and gave me suggestions to what would work towards achieving my goal. Usually, I feel so out of place in a salon, not today! Michelle and Kyle made me feel at ease and were complimentary- not the usual response a pale, middle aged, dark brunette who likes her hair naturally air dried wavy, receives. I got a master stylist cut for an amazing price. As my hair dried throughout the day I've loved the cut more and more.

The service is great and the stylists are all impressive in what they provide. The only glitch I see is when I try to book an appointment because there are several third party web sites which are confusing to me. This is a great place if you like the old-fashioned style barber shop--a bench seat with hunting magazines, mostly clipper cuts, hot shaves, hot coffee and good conversation--all at a reasonable price!
