Tuesday 3/26/24 Shop is inside Galax Walmart. Haircut with senior price. Savannah did the hair cut. She had cut my hair about 2 years ago. You will get a hair cut, but you won't get a hair style. My short hair was shorter, but no style, nor adequate texturing, blah. There was NO hideous mistakes. A humdrum result. Not something to go out of your way for. read more

Ashley has done my hair many times, and she does a wonderful job! I'm always satisfied. She's also easy on my tender scalp, which is great! Smart Styles itself is fairly pricy, but that's not the stylists fault. But like they say, you get what you pay for! read more

I had gone here because my regular stylist was unable to cut my hair by the time that I needed. I thought that this would be quick and affordable. I had gone here a few years ago and was satisfied but the stylist that I used to have is no longer there. When I got there, I had to wait for about 30 minutes. One was about to leave work and the other was on break. I got the one that came back from break. Apparently, she still wasn't off from break, because she was distracted from her kids running in and out of the salon. I couldn't really tell what she was doing with my hair. I needed it thinned, and layered. When I came out of the salon, it looked like she had taken out more hair than I wanted. The bottom part of my hair was almost completely gone and the upper part was where she left most of the hair. My hair looked completely ridiculous. When I wake up in the morning, it doesn't even lay correctly and looks horrible. It's embarrassing to even go out anywhere because of the way my hair looks. Next time, I will spend a few extra dollars and get my hair done somewhere else. I will never come back here again! read more

Went in today for a haircut. Didn't feel like waiting for an appointment and since I was in the area I thought I'd try them. Big mistake!!! The stylist, if you could actually call her that, was too busy worrying about people walking in the door because she was the only one there. She seemed nice enough but didn't bother to listen to how I wanted my hair cut let alone that I wanted a full service not an express cut. When I left my hair was still wet and I couldn't really tell how it looked except that it was way shorter than I wanted it. By the time I got home it was dry and when I went to check what it looked like it made me cry. It was nothing like I wanted. It was completely flat and curling up at the bottom and I had one clump of bangs on one side. I went back and the other stylist tried to fix it but the first one butchered it so bad that she couldn't do much except fix my bangs which I had wanted longer and now they are also too short. She also put in some layers but only in the back. I am extremely disappointed that the "stylists" there don't have a clue and really should not be cutting hair!!! read more
