My 5-year old KitchenAid Dishwasher needed repair and SmartChoice sent Alan out to install a new circulation pump for a very reasonable price. He was very professional and also spotted a leak at the bottom of the washer and installed a new clamp to fix it. The next few cycles, I noticed the heating element was also not working. Alan came out the next day to look at it, taking a lot of time to diagnose and resetting the appliance so that the drying cycle worked again. Although this repair took some time due to delay of parts. I'm giving it Andrii the technician 5***** because he was so efficient. Andrii worked on my appliance 3 times total by himself (oven/microwave combo) he really took his time finding the problem. It turns out there were more than 1 part needed so he would come back and troubleshoot, he worked around my schedule etc. On his most recent and final visit everything is working 100% .... On his final visit he had an assistant Andrew he was really nice as well. With the tools and parts needed they can fix anything. They were quick and transparent about pricing and excellent about communication. When my cats chewed through the hose a second time, Alan went to Home Depot and found a solution to protect the drainage hose and then came back and installed both the new hose and a protective casing around it. Update on this review....I had my home warranty company send out a different repair company. That technician was at the house for nearly an hour. Diagnosed a bad "transmission" that caused the drum to wobble, thus destroying the seal in question. Total loss, warranty company sent out a new washer and scrapped the old one. I am not sure why the first company did not do that to begin with. Poorly diagnosed the issue. The original technician was at the house for no more than 5-10 minutes total. read more
