Those that accept credit card payment are clearly marked and we were able to figure out the credit card keypad the first attempt. Richmond Road Laundromat offers self-service machines as well as an in-house service and to be honest the cost isn't that different. Sometimes I'll wash items at home and just take them here to be dried. Linen, sheets, towels etc - knowing they can be dry and folded in under an hour makes me do a little dance on the inside. It costs $4 for a regular load of washing, and $1.50 per 10mins in the dryer - useful knowledge for winter. The man who runs the Laundromat couldn't be nicer, and was very happy for me to leave the machine running and come back in half an hour when it was done. So, I popped across the road, got a great coffee and croissant from Pyrenees, and sat reading my book in rocket park for half an hour! So much nicer than being cooped up in a Laundromat watching a machine spin. There's parking on road right by the entrance, which is ideal when lugging laundry to and fro. The Rocket Park Laundromat is also incredibly reasonably priced. In the winter we take our laundry down already washed, and to get two loads dried and folded it only costs about $10! Well worth it! Tip: The Rocket Park Laundromat is open til around 6pm each night, so don't worry if you drop it off on your way to work, it will still be open for you to pick your garments up in the evening!
