It was my first time in Poland, and I decided that I wanted my first meal to be pierogies. Hence, I got off my train and headed to Smakowity Kasek, which was right across the street from the train station.
Not knowing any Polish, I asked for a menu in either English or German; they were very accommodating and had both! Additionally, the service was fairly fast despite there being other patrons. In the end, I went for the duck pierogies.
The duck pierogies were delicious! The meat was also evenly and finely ground. They were a bit on the bland side, but I was happy nonetheless as I had never had duck pierogies. I also found a single fragment of bone in one of my pierogies.
Overall, Smakowity Kasek serves both excellent service and good food. If you're in the area, I would recommend stopping by. read more
