I checked out my first Jiu Jitsu class in 2001 at that same academy where I saw Rorion and Helio Gracie instructing the class. I ended up starting Jiu Jitsu with the Gracie's cousins, the Machado Brothers. I received my Blue Belt from Rigan and my Purple Belt from Roger Machado. As I have gotten older my goals in Jiu Jitsu are Healthy Lifestyle and Self Defense. My last 5 years training were at Gracie University with Ryron and Rener Gracie, the grandkids of Helio Gracie, so I was really worried about where I could train once I moved to Clarksville. I was watched Professor James Hoskins teach a class of white belts and was so impressed that I told my wife that we should sign up here. In less than a month, I have already learned a lot even though I have been training Jiu Jitsu for over 20 years. What I always enjoy the most about learning Jiu Jitsu is the friendships I make. I already feel at home here at Renzo Gracie Clarksville. This has also helped me deal with the stress of moving missing my family and friends. Thank you

Since having a baby four months ago, I decided to try a new work out. The pole dancing…read moreclasses--which I like to call "pole exercise" lol-- are actually pretty good. My arms are toned and a lot stronger even after three classes (I go once a week). This is definitely a very empowering work out, I like going to these classes. My son tried out the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class also, he's only four so I think he will need at least another year before he will be able to follow along with the other kids. Their class is geared more towards the older kids, so the young'ens don't get the attention that is needed for a beginner. The good thing is that the kids can try out the first class for free, so it's not like we lost out on any money.

Their junior instructors also do a marvelous job teaching the younger kids how to properly to the techniques.
