I went to Sloane's to replace my living room carpet. My sales experience with Adam was really good, he guided me immediately to a carpet that works wonderful and helped me pick out a pad which makes it feel luxurious. I got a large sample to take back to my house and make sure the color was right, which was really nice. They give out much bigger pieces than the standard carpet samples you see from Costco or other carpet sellers, which are impossible to visualize on a large scale. Installation with Gabe's crew was quick and easy - they had it installed within a few days of my order. Unfortunately the carpet had an imperfection in it that was near the center of the room. I wasn't aware the piece I was buying had this imperfection. No problem for Sloane's. I spoke to Adam the manager and he told me they'd take care of it. A week later, the same crew reappeared and installed a brand new piece of carpet in our room with no imperfections at all. It was free of charge. I really appreciate Sloane's dedication to customer service even though they sell carpet with imperfections and this should be something any customer is aware of at the time of purchase. I will use Sloane's again for my upstairs carpet and this time will be sure to inspect the piece of carpet in the warehouse before purchase so there are no surprises. TLDR: Amazing carpet and a great price, wonderful sales associate and manager, 100% recommend!

I'd highly recommend this spot. I'm probably going to be repeating what all the other reviewers have already said but man, no one should be buying a carpet in Denver without paying a visit to this spot first. Sure they don't have hundreds of options and they are limited to what's available in terms of style, design and color but they still have a decent size selection where you will surely find something that fits your needs and wants. We needed the entire basement to be redone for carpet and padding and went to the big box stores like everyone does when they know nothing about carpet. Neither husband nor I ever had to shop for carpets before so had no clue what to expect. The stores have a ton of variety, of course, but anything half decent quality and above is going to be expensive and we had a relatively limited budget that we didn't want to exceed. So we got our carpet PhD via Google and decided on what exactly we wanted in a carpet - pile height, material, pile density... And realized that we simply couldn't afford what we wanted in any store. Then our realtor recommended Sloane's and I had found it over yelp, too, by then. We made an appt, arrived, the employee who helped us was great to work with, didn't rush us at all granted we also knew exactly what we wanted and didn't take much time. He was also very helpful though and brought out carpet samples that he thought we might like based on our descriptions. Once we picked a carpet he helped us with picking a padding. We ended up with an absolutely top notch carpet for, in essence, a third of the price! And a memory foam padding that I couldn't have been able to afford had I spent more on the carpet. The whole thing was an insane deal! Once we finalized our decision they rolled out the carpet for us and showed the "defect", which in our opinion was barely noticeable. I had been waiting until we got our basement done to leave this review. Seems certain carpet installers work exclusively with Sloane's so you know who is coming to work on your carpet. The installers we got very nice people, they got the job done and while there are certain areas where the installation could've been slightly better and cuts could've been made slightly more straight, I still can't really complain. They overall did a very fine job and I don't think anyone would notice any of the issues I've just mentioned. The carpet looks absolutely gorgeous, the pattern matching was done brilliantly and the carpet was stretched perfectly - no issues on those whatsoever. I hope we never have to get carpets changed in our house... But it we ever had to I wouldn't go anywhere but here. I'd also recommend this place to anyone.

This is our 2nd time getting carpet from Sloan's and our experience was just as great as the first time and the reason we keep coming back. Customer service is top notch and the salesman know carpet and were so helpful with us picking the carpet that would work best for our needs. They set us up with Antonio to install our carpet and he did a fantastic job!Antonio was very professional and friendly! We love our new carpet! Thank you Bill, Brody and Antonio!

12 x 14 remnant rug

Pro decorating tip: Rather than spend $$$ on area rugs from a catalog or store, you can purchase high quality carpet remnants from a flooring provider like Sloane's. Then have it cut into a size that you desire, then bound for safety/comfort (usually it's an extra charge by the inch). Such is the case for my new house. Hardwood floors are great, but I like a little texture and warmth in the bedrooms and living areas. Visited Sloane's on two different occasions to pick from what they had available and now we have three very nice, 12 x 12 rugs for different rooms. You can go with the sale pieces, which range from about $.98 to $1.25 per square foot or go with the fancier stuff at $2+ per. Both visits I've worked with Ralph to pick out just the right carpet to turn into an area rug. He's personable and knows a lot about carpet. Aurora Rug Binding is Sloane's preferred sister vendor. Once you've paid for your remnant, ARB will pick it up and cut it down from the original size. They will also bind the piece, around $1 per inch. Be VERY specific when coordinating that part of the process. Otherwise you'll end up with a big ass piece of bound carpeting that may/may not fit in your desired room! The price for two large remnants (which ended up as 12 x 12 and 12 x 13 rugs respectively) was $470 plus tax. Try getting a better deal from Wayfair, Overstock or another retailer. The carpet has a stain guarantee and is a nice thick fiber. Hopefully it lasts at least five years. Note that Sloane's is in an industrial park in Aurora. Not the fanciest 'hood, but that's why you're getting such a deal. Call ahead before coming to get an appointment and they'll show you where to park and what door to enter from. Very nice guys, happy with their service.

Let me share with you my experience,…read more Walter their salesman came out to give me a bid Once he found out that Home Depot had done the estimate already, he just used the amount of boxes which was about 80 for the estimate. He did no measuring or anything else. He was gone in about 10 minutes. (I needed only labor as I was purchasing the material from Home Depot.) Once we agreed on Price to have all the existing solid wood baseboard, removed the new floor put down and the baseboard put back. I agreed to the job. Pricing; I agreed on 50% down and 50% when the job was completed to maintain some control of the final product I'm very glad I did this. Their policy is to get 100% upfront, which I never recommend anyone for any service, ever do. The very next day after agreeing on terms with Walter, I got a call asking for 100% of the money I told this lady that's not what we agreed to and she said well that's what we normally do and I said you better call Walter. I'm gonna cancel the job. She did came back excepted 50% Overall, the subcontractors that came out from a company called Sun sunshine floors did a pretty good job putting in the material But it's the follow up , putting doors back on , getting trim put back on that was a real headache and took me almost 30 days to get done and also a threat of a complaint to get what I considered to be a very reasonable discount about $370 off my bill In the end, I fixed the existing problems myself because it was too much of a headache after they finally agreed to give me the discount Finally, a reminder again if you use this company, do not pay 100% upfront you'll have no control over the job over anything that needs to get fixed and you'll be working on their timetable, while they have all your money ------- Part 2 It's smart that Kelly took down her first knee jerk response to my above comment since is was inaccurate and not well researched. "Telling me I agreed not to leave public comment in agreement for the discount" -that was true if you accepted my generous offer.... the first go round. I'm going to guess that she finally got around to actually reading.... the 2nd email with my threat to file a complaint with yelp. Poof.....gone and replaced with boiler plate sorry we messed up and we should have done better. " Kelly, I wish you would have taken seriously my first initial complaint to your company and really taken the time to call me and find out what happened, Sincerely apologize, accept my generous offer and maybe even go a bit farther to make me happy and satisfied, If you had done so, we wouldn't be having this stupid engagement in the first place. Even after all that, I do hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Original review: Our experience was okay, purchasing and the ordering of the floors were easy and pleasant, the carpet came in quicker than expected which was nice. After our carpet was installed I had to fill Out a satisfaction form in front of the installer, which was uncomfortable since they were right there, I don't think that would allow for honest feedback. I had to have them tac down the carpet after I inspected it in a few places, and then when my husband checked it later, he noticed how they really scuffed up our baseboards and new paint, the paint scuffs was from them bringing the carpet down stairs all along the ceiling, I wish they were careful as we had just freshly painted the basement the week prior and now have to buy more paint and do it again. We did confirm the carpet together but we did not confirm the plush padding and based on the feel we aren't 100% sure it's the one we purchased. Also, the installer seemed surprised that I wanted to keep the additional roll of carpet we paid for. I'm leaving the experience bummed out.

We went thru them together and found the one best for my home! She was terrific! The installer, Scott and his crew, were amazing! Scott supported my decisions and his crew took care of everything in a professional manner. I had also requested my stairs be replaced with LVP. The quote I received apparently was not even close to what the cost would be. Scott was kind enough to explain what would really need to be done for LVP on stairs. I ended up having carpet installed. The crew that did the stairs came quickly to install but told me the measurements were wrong (the salesman's error) and they'd have to come back the next day with the correct amount of new carpet. They did a good job in the end. The entire process ended up taking over a week. Empire did waive the cost of the first bedroom install and I'm grateful for that. The original salesman was bad in every way and made zero effort to provide the information a client would need as well as the products available. If Scott wasn't part of my experience, i would have rated the overall experience one star! I have never had such a great hard working team work on any project in my home. Scott, you and your crew are superior!

My experience with Empire Today and their contractors in the Denver area was far below average…read more From the moment we signed the papers to have vinyl flooring installed on our main floor, we ran into issue after issue. On the first day, two workers came to remove the carpet and prep the floor. Halfway through the day, one worker left for a doctor's appointment and never returned, leaving one person to do the entire job alone. We even bought him lunch because we genuinely felt bad for him. The second day was the same situation, one worker alone installing the floors all day. As the work progressed, we started noticing multiple problems: Missing or incomplete edging Scratches and paint damage to our kitchen island from moving flooring materials around Incorrect trim materials being used because, according to the installer, "the company didn't provide the right materials" The trim pieces didn't match, were oddly shaped, and didn't properly cover areas they were supposed to. My partner ended up repainting and caulking parts themself just to make it look halfway decent. Then we discovered they weren't planning to install flooring in a small connected section near our garage entry and stairs because they "weren't told to do that area." It made absolutely no sense to leave two stairs and a pathway unfinished and different from the rest of the flooring. When we contacted Empire about it, they admitted it was a "misunderstanding" and tried to charge us nearly $1,200 extra to complete the area that should have been included from the beginning. After pushing back, I was able to get the price lowered by a couple hundred dollars, but the entire financing situation became another headache. We had already been approved for a specific financing amount through Empire when we originally signed the contract. When I asked if they could simply add the additional amount onto the financing, they told me they couldn't because only part of the credit line was still available. I then asked if they could split the payment, putting part on the financing and letting me pay the remaining balance out of pocket, and they said they couldn't do that either. So because of THEIR mistake in calculating the flooring square footage, I had to suddenly come up with extra money out of pocket to finish the job. The same installer came back, again working alone, and completed the added section. A few days later, I went downstairs and discovered the carpet at the top stair leading to the basement had been cut up and damaged, and surrounding wood pieces were broken. Nobody mentioned it to us. I contacted Empire again, sent photos, and after over two weeks they finally responded saying they would send the same contractor back out because of their "warranty process." When he returned, he still didn't have the correct materials. At one point he found a piece of picture-frame molding in our garage and asked if he could use that as trim. At that point we just wanted the situation over with and said yes. Now, only weeks later, several sections of the vinyl flooring are separating from each other. We contacted Empire AGAIN and specifically requested a different installer because this same contractor had already returned multiple times to "fix" issues. Today, the exact same installer showed up again and told us the separation was due to weather changes and that he would just glue the planks and hammer them back together. At this point, I would never recommend Empire Today to anyone. The workmanship has been poor, communication has been frustrating, damage was done to our home, and we've had repeated issues within the first month of installation. We're now stuck continuing to pay for flooring that has been a constant headache.
