History
Established in 2004.
Slingerland & Clark, P.C. traces its lineage back to 1982 when Robert Fuenty and Kurt P. Klein opened the practice of Fuenty & Klein. When T. Jordan Gallagher joined the firm it was renamed Gallagher, Fuenty & Klein, later becoming Gallagher, Klein & Brady, and Gallagher & Brady. In 1990 the firm relocated from its DeKalb, Illinois office to Sycamore, Illinois.
In 2004, William P. Brady left the firm and Jack C. Slingerland became a partner in Gallagher & Slingerland. In 2008, T. Jordan Gallagher received a judicial appointment, and the law practice became Slingerland & Associates.
On February 1, 2012, Dale Clark became a co-owner with Jack Slingerland and the law practice became Slingerland & Clark, P.C.
The firm maintains a complete law library, and state of the art computer-assisted legal research. The firm's attorneys, with a combined 60 years of legal experience, provide high quality, efficient legal services to clients of the firm, at reasonable fees.
Meet the Business Owner: Jack S. and Dale C.
Jack C. Slingerland received a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Jack is the city Attorney for Genoa, IL. He has served as a DeKalb County Assistant State's Attorney, as the DeKalb County Public Defender, and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois. He is admitted to practice in federal and state courts, is a member of the Kane County Bar Association, and is a member and past president of the DeKalb County Bar Association.
Dale J. Clark graduated Cum Laude in 1994 from Northern Illinois University School of Law. Dale has served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem to represent the best interests of children in custody disputes. Dale formerly served on CASA's Board of Directors, and is a member of the Kane County Bar Association and the DeKalb County Bar Association. He is a hearing officer for the County of DeKalb and former Trustee for the Village of Hinckley.
