In short We've been here only for interventional pain…read moretreatment, but thoroughly appreciated what they have to offer. In long About a year ago, my lovely bride had a massive stroke and now likely has post-stroke pain syndrome, which is a relatively common complication that basically makes any little ache and pain you have feel a million times worse. It sucks, and there's not much they can do about it except wait for the brain to rewire itself and stop crashing out every time it gets a pain signal. We pulled up to a decent-size clinical building (bigger than some small-town hospitals) off a very busy road, with plenty of parking. They have over a dozen specialties inside, but the main signage says "Cardiology and Imaging," which confused me. Might be worth reconsidering that placard. The front desk is upstairs, oddly enough. Conveniently, so is the pain specialist. We were checked in fairly quickly and spent almost an hour with Dr Yee. My better half left feeling incredibly frustrated that they can't fix the problem with any sure solution, but we have a couple more tricks up our sleeve that might do the trick. I felt a lot more aware of what's going on after speaking with Dr Yee, and really dug what she had to say and how she went about her business. But, then, I'm not the one in pain and wishing daily for relief, so I suppose that's easy for me to say. Still, though, I'd recommend her for someone who needs to solve most pain problems.

I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for over fifty years. This is well documented in my medical…read morerecords. Lots of blood tests, sleep studies and medications have been used. Dr. Russian said I needed another sleep study to prove to have that I have Chronic Fatigue. Let that sink in for a minute. He needed more proof. My family doc has had me on Adderall for approx. five years but wanted me to switch to Modafinil as she believes this will be safer now that I am sixty-five years ,old but only a sleep doc can order this medication based on my insurance. Dr. Russian said he would call in an order for a sleep study and they would contact me to schedule. Two weeks later I called the sleep study center only to find that an order had never been called in for me. I contacted the docs office and explained the situation. The receptionist said that she would contact Dr. Russians nurse immediately to find out what was going on and that the nurse would call me back to let me know the referral had now been sent. No one ever called me back.

This is an review update to recognize one of the best employees I've had the pleasure to work with…read morein the FP&SMA. For the second time in about a year I did an overnight sleep study in the Sleep Center in order to be approved for 3rd time of machine to treat my sleep apnea. As with the sleep study last time, Shannon was my assigned sleep tech (aka polysomnographic technologist). She has the innate ability to do her job while engaging in the most awesome conversation of any sleep tech I've worked with, and not counting the last two with Shannon, I've had at least three other sleep studies over the years. Sleep studies are hard for me, especially at this time of year. I had to leave my family on a Sunday night and drive 15 miles to a sleep center. It's cold and, many times, rainy. With St. Michael, the bad thing is that the center is an elevator ride down a level and a VERY long walk across the building to the door. You have to look for wall and sandwich board signs. Once at the door you press a button to have a tech buzz you in. Sitting in the lobby, you know the night will involve a bunch of stuff that you fear will prevent the sleep you're there to have for the study. And you're alone, especially after you have to power off your phone. So, for me, the procedure makes you somewhat anxious. Then Shannon comes in and tells you she'll be conducting your study for the night. Last time, we immediately hit it off because that's who she is. This time, it was a welcome reunion with an old friend. We took up the conversation where we left off. I still dislike these studies but working with Shannon, or just hearing her voice over the room intercom, relaxed me. Yes, I was able to sleep and yes, she had to wake me up a couple of times to make position adjustments to the wiring harness. But I had the best, most refreshing sleep I've had in weeks. Shannon assured me that from the preliminary results of the study my numbers looked good. This meant I responded well to the type of machine and mask used for the study. Now, I hope to never have a another sleep study but if I do, I sure hope Shannon will again be my polysomnographic technologist.

I haven't had the best experience here. The receptionists and ACTUAL Drs are ok. The lady that…read morehelped me with my machine is also great. SHARI WOOTTEN is awful and should lose her license for the things she says to people and the way she treats patients. Been here again since this review and had a better experience, so edited the rating. Brenda is great. It was like night and day on experience and professionalism. I feel like I might actually get some help now.
