I found Rebecca online and loved her logo and website- thought to myself; this is professional and by the looks of it, she knows how to brand herself. Resumes are about promoting your brand; she took my mundane resume and highlighted my accomplishments in both marketing and training. We spoke on the phone and communicated through email and she replied back almost instantaneously; if she didn't, she still replied the same day within a few hours. Now I'd been doing so much interviewing of other people in the past few years, I forgot what it's like to be the interviewee. Even before I paid Rebecca she sent me a worksheet of how to prep for an interview; most common questions, best ways to really examine your career and how to articulate who you are to the interviewer (sometimes we tend to over complicate or over think things, with this you do not- Much Thanks Rebecca!) In about a 2 days after she sent me the final copies of both my resumes and made some suggestions as what realistic positions to apply to; I got phone calls, did some interviews and found a job in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks- I start next Monday! I didn't have to contact her once to make any changes to either resumes. I definitely would recommend her to anyone; a lot of companies/people out there only do this virtually so if you're like me and think, "How can I trust anyone over the internet?" This is really a 3.5*…read more Want to try something new... Try tufting. We arrived at 12PM. We had a little trouble with the entrance door. They ringed us in though the door wouldn't budge. We finally got through the door. Take the elevator up. One of our groups' pictures wasn't ready due to a broken frame. The folks switched the frame and traced the picture from a projector onto the canvas. By the time, we started it was 1PM and finished around 5PM. After gluing the extra edge with the hot gun then a backing to the rug, trimming and vacuuming the rug. It was around 6:30PM. Thank you to Kona and Amy for helping us. They gave us the safety speech, make sure you turn off the power to fix anything on the tufting rug, make sure you put pressure against the canvas, and it is possible to create a hole if you tuft it too many times so be careful. If this is your first time, pick a simple drawing. It takes a little while to get used to the tufting gun. Once you get the handle, you can move faster. Forewarning: half the time, you will be threading the yarn FREQUENTLY! I was making the mistake of the section dense instead of 1 line so it took longer. We picked X-Small for the rug. It came out decent even though in the beginning it didn't look like anything we picked. Overall it was a fun experience for a few hours.

If you are experienced or more comfortable, she will challenge you and talk more about technique. If you're nervous, she reads your body language and gauges your needs. Like any good teacher, she meets you where you are. She knows the system well and can advise you with certainty on the steps you need to take to get your license (when even the DMV isn't so sure). I highly recommend taking lessons with her! You can't go wrong if you're careful and listen attentively to her instructions. The person I spoke with on the phone was very responsive and pleasant to talk to. This made me feel relaxed and trust in the school. (I had a bad experience with a rude owner at another driving school and this was a welcome change.) The positive attitude of the receptionist and how she was flexible and understanding when I discussed my schedule was lovely. She actually called me back after I called and didn't leave a message and that was a nice surprise. The availability was great and since I had the following week off, I got to do all my hours in one week.

I needed someone I could trust 100% with my eyebrows. I never got that feeling with places. I stumbled upon Glam Brows on Yelp. I read a few reviews, checked out their website & followed them on Instagram. I followed Patti's work for about a month on Instagram. I knew her style was what I was looking for. I wanted a natural look and not something that looked like I just filled my eyebrows in. I knew I wanted to do microblading but was still scared. I saw online Glam Brows was running a promotion so I decided to sign up. Patti contacted me immediately to set up a time to talk. When we spoke on the phone I knew right away I could trust her and would choose her to do my eyebrows. She's sweet, informative & really listens to you. She explained the whole process on the phone and answered any in initial questions I had. I told her I would feel more comfortable if we set up a consultation, which she said she recommends to everyone. I brought my mom along with me for my consultation because she was skeptical about the microblading process. Patti answered all of our questions, explained the entire process and did not glamorize it at all. I love her because she's completely honest and up front with you. She isn't just going to tell you what you want to hear. After leaving the consultation, even my mom loved her! She knew she was someone we could trust and would make my eyebrows look the way I wanted. You shouldn't chose a place because it's"cheap or it's the first place you find. You should do your research and should feel 100% comfortable with your esthetician. Fast forward to the day I got the microblading. I was anxious and nervous and although I knew I 100% wanted to do this, it was scary! I was mostly nervous about the pain. I don't have a high pain tolerance and I wasn't excited to lay there for 2 hours. Patti kept reassuring me it was going to be fine and the pain was minimal. She kept asking if I was okay and told me we could take a break whenever I needed to. I also love how detail oriented she is and how clean her space is. You can tell she takes her work seriously and she's there for YOU. She doesn't answer phone calls in between the tattooing. Your time with her is strictly for you. I am now at 2 weeks post touch-up. Let me just say, FOLLOW HER INSTRUCTIONS. There is a list of pre and post instructions. Follow them. You won't regret it. I followed them to a T and she said my eyebrows healed amazing - it was one of the best she's seen. My eyebrows are still healing so they're a bit patchy. But I am over the moon happy with the outcome. I wake up in the morning with perfect eyebrows. They look so natural that no one can tell they're microbladed. I can't recommend Patti & Glam Brows enough. If you're still skeptical, just give her a call or set up a consultation. I can assure you after meeting her you'll love her as much as I do!
