I am currently at Fountain Valley Acute Rehab Center after my knee replacement surgery, and I…read morehonestly can't say enough good things about this place. The entire staff is unbelievably attentive and genuinely focused on doing what's best for their patients. You can feel that they truly care. I especially want to sing the praises of someone who goes well beyond the call of duty -- Kelton. He is a good young man with strong values, a great attitude, and real compassion for the people he helps. Employees like him are what make a rehab center not just good, but excellent

However, I know they are still making changes since the building if I am not mistaken under new ownership. Anyhow, upon arriving to his floor, there were CNAs and the nurses desk near by to see if we had any questions. The staff did get his room ready as he did have Enhanced Barrier Precaution isolation. So we are thankful for that. The food was good and the care was okay. I wish the staff was a bit more attentive instead of hanging out in the hallways having conversations about their personal lives. In that setting, it was a bit disappointing and unprofessional. We visited in the 3 weeks he was there, and no major red flags or concerns on our end. If I was to be asked if we would readmit him there again, I would look around for options first before opting to go back. Thank you to the team that did take care of him, and ensured he was safe to come back home! Not ever nursing home is the same or has a horrible back story! Ours was just okay... and I am happy to leave the 3 star review for services.

Some CNAs are very nice and helpful but those who have a lot of work overload you can tell they just are in a rush to get to every patient to be able to finish their runs. Management needs to work better with getting more help so each patient doesn't go longer than 20 minutes without getting helped.

For the most part, Manor Care is a lot like most Care facilities. The staff is nice and…read moreconscientious. I guess they only know as much about the patients as they read in the chart. What happens when the chart is inaccurate? No one was injured permanently, but once the error was found it really made a difference. My husband is not the type of person that fits in the care facility "mold". she's been a diabetic since age 12 and he's now 69. He manages his diabetes with diet. Esperanza, the dietitian, came and checked in, but their diet did not aide in keeping his sugar at a reasonable level. Like I said, the staff was personalable and conscientious. My recommendation if you have a lived one in any Care facility, be vigilant of their care, diet and medications. Not everything transfers from the hospital.

Mind you they did things that where not let's say on the up n up. They also had there own in house Lab for doing UA testing but since all this it seems like they completely went down hill. Bummer

StepHouse Recovery has an amazing detox program with around the clock care for their clients. It is a safe, relaxing, friendly environment geared to help you succeed in living a sober life after detox. They provide food, take you on walks and have at least 3 group meetings a day to make sure you have the right mindset and clear headspace to fully recover. I have been living in StepHouse's female sober living home in Costa Mesa for about a month. The house I stay in has a capacity of 6 females. It is very clean and all the girls I live with are friendly and helpful. Living here has provided me with a stable environment where I feel safe and am able to live clean. Because of this program I have a roof over my head, I am happily clean and was even able to start a new job! Highly recommend this recovery program to anyone that is struggling to be and stay clean especially during the hard times of COVID!

The residential living facility has ventilation issues, mold, vermin, broken windows, trash, occupancy issues, etc. I spoke with the city and they have informed me that this facility doesn't not have an active permit, and several other neighbors/patients have filed similar complaints. Please consider another option before sending your loved ones here.

Her ability to listen deeply and respond with both empathy and practical insight created a space that felt safe, empowering, and truly personalized. What stood out most was her consistency -- she showed up with grace and reliability, even in moments that felt uncertain or overwhelming. Whether offering emotional support, thoughtful guidance, or simply being present, Antonia demonstrated a rare blend of professionalism and heartfelt care. She didn't just meet expectations; she exceeded them in ways that were quietly transformative. I felt seen, supported, and uplifted throughout our time together. Her presence was a gift, and I'm deeply grateful for the impact she's had.

I was admitted to SeaCliff on 8/25/17 after spending a week in New Start Detox in Santa Ana, Ca. I…read morewas scared. I had overdosed on heroin on 8/17/17 and an angel sent me to New Start telling me that I would go for detox and then to a longer term facility where I would be safe and taught how to get my life back together without the use of drugs and alcohol. When my detox discharged me and brought me to SeaCliff I was so terrified. I was angry, I had so much self hate, I had no self worth and I felt hopeless. The staff immediately assured me that those feelings were temporary and that it would get better. It did. I met the owner, Daryll, that day. He had an open door policy. Daryll ended up being like an Uncle to me. From day 1 he let me know that I was important and he believed in me. Then I met my counselor Dave. Dave was another one, he had been through hell and back like myself so we related. With those 2, the therapist, the support staff and the 12 step fellowship, I began to grow into a woman who stopped hating myself and everyone else. I actually started recognizing my worth, I learned boundaries, I learn how to have relationships with my family and friends, I learned how to help others, they gave me the freedom to get a sponsor and go out and work those 12 steps like my life depended on it because it did and then get my own sponsee and help her, and now I have 9 months free from active addiction. I graduated from the program at Seacliff and now I live on my own, just 4 miles away. The team helped me make a plan so that I'm close by because my blood family lives on the East Coast. My Seacliff family is just a quick ride away and I stay close to them, my meetings are right down the road, my sponsor is right down the road, Daryl and Dave are just a phone call away as well as the support staff. Although I graduated they are still here for me just like they were when I was in their facility. Just because you graduate doesn't mean you have to leave their family. That facility literally saved my life. They taught me how to live again. They had simple rules that I respected, they took me to meetings everyday, I attended their groups everyday, they had fun events for us, I had never been in a treatment center which had such a family setting that taught me so much about living free from active addiction at the same time. Every time I had a bad day I would run into Dave's office or Darryl's office and when I would make mountains out of mole hills they would say we can get through this this is not the end of the world and they would handle the problem. Words can't express my gratitude nor explain the benefits I've reaped from SeaCliff Treatment Center. I've been to MANY rehabs but not like this. I've been to the fanciest, I've been to the institutionalized ones... this place is the best because I nevet felt like I was actually cared about like I was here. I had the freedom to go out and adult, get my sponsor and get busy with the program after my SeaCliff Responsiblities were handled for the day. I would never go anywhere else after being here... There are so many other amazing staff members at SeaCliff and so many awesome things that go on there and I am blessed that I get yo go there and be an example for the new clients and show them that it works. God willing I never have to go to treatment again as a client. I could keep writing for days about this place! If you follow the program and the rules that SeaCliff has and get a sponsorand work the 12 steps then you can live this amazing life that I have found too!!!! Thank you guys for being super loving and caring and expecting nothing in return but respect and hard work. Another perk was that it's 3 blocks from the beach.
