Let me start off by saying that had I read a bad review about this photographer i would have NEVER…read morehired him. The reviews were all wonderful saying how much he went out of his way for them, well apparently I was not so 'fortunate' to receive any of that. I found anthony via groupon for a special he was doing. I was planning on visiting Vegas in January to celebrate my birthday and thought why not take some great photos as we were staying at Lake Las Vegas known for its gorgeous scenery. I contacted him early on in August to ask about pricing and if he could shoot at my hotel. He responded right away and seemed very friendly on the phone and on email. Closer to the time I messaged him about a month before in December and he corresponded within a day confirming everything. A week before I reached out to him via email to confirm if there were any changes. He took almost 3 days to respond. This was my first red flag. I let it got as he was quite responsive before and I figured he was busy. The nightmare begins the week of my trip to vegas. I messaged Anthony 2 weeks before my shoot to notify him of a time change and a date change as I wanted to switch my itinerary that week. It took me a voice mail and two messages later to get him to respond by saying that all was well. He took 3 days to respond and this was via text. Again another red flag but like most photographers I figured he was tied up with other things. As a courtesy the day before my travel i made sure he knew the time change for the shoot. He never responded! When I arrived to las Vegas it was raining that night and the forecast predicted more rain that week. Great! My shoot was outdoors. As soon as I checked in to my hotel I updated him letting him know I was concerned about the weather and if there was anywhere else in the hotel we could shoot. I waited until 3 am vegas time and heard NOTHING! The day of the shoot I began to grow anxious and very worried. I texted him again that morning and got no response. My makeup artist arrived on time but would have needed more time to do my hair. I heard nothing from anthony and this was about an hour before our shoot. I texted him AGAIN saying hi are you getting this? I am going to be late. He messages me TEN minutes before our scheduled shoot saying he is on his way! While my hair was being done he messaged me saying he is outside the hotel just let him know when I am done. I get down to the lobby. No sign of him. I text again to say I am out front. he eventually shows up five minutes later and is ready to shoot. I had my own concept of what I wanted however he decided that he wanted to shoot outdoors as the rain had just subsided. We shot outside as I sat on cold wet concrete steps as he quickly snapped photos without even really taking the time to fix anything. In fact I was the one that suggested he stop as I needed to fix details with my outfit. He cared less, and just kept asking me to walk in heels on the wet bare concrete on the hotel (mind you I could have slipped as the floor was slippery) When I noticed he was so rushed, I let him know I had another wardrobe change and if that would be ok. I also asked if we could take some shots in the garden overlooking the hotel. I mean HELLOO!!!! why the heck would I shoot at lake las vegas and not have a good background!! After I quickly changed my outfit I realized it was HIS shoot and not mine as he directed me to do the same poses I did for each outfit again. I did not enjoy one bit of being TOLD what to do and this was not a modelling portfolio, this was MY own shoot with poses I wanted to do. I had to ask him if it was okay to take a few photos posing the way I wanted to. The last outfit change I asked if we could shoot inside the hotel by a gorgeous cascading chandelier. He refused to do so saying oh.. well if we can get the people out. He took the photo of me so quickly that the chandelier barely shows!!! everything was rushed, unprofessional and unacceptable It took him about 4 days to email me the proofs only after I ASKED for them. Then another week to send the retouched pictures that looked like a 10th grader did . My eyes were messed up in the photos, I looked cross eyed and he failed to edit that HAD HE TAKEN THE TIME TO LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AS HE TOOK THEM HE WOULD SPOT THESE THINGS. THAT IS WHAT PHOTOGRAPHERS DO TO MINIMIZE BAD PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!! Never will I do business with him ever for his utter lack of professionalism. I paid for a service I expected it to be outstanding. Next time I will pay full price elsewhere!!!!!!!
