Went flying today! Probably a good place to eat before you take off! This cute little diner closes at 3 so make sure you get there before then to eat. The lady that worked there was nice enough to make some sandwiches 5 minutes before closing. Would definitely go back for that nice small American diner feel. read more

Best hash browns from SF to San Carlos, ordered them extra crispy. Prices are just slightly higher than other coffee shops. Sausage was kinda dry. Eggs and toast what you'd expect from a diner. But oh man the hash browns were good. Nice crisp golden brown on the outside. Soft almost mashed potato interior. Didn't even matter that they only grilled/fried one side. They were that tasty. This place is our go to breakfast restaurant. Their omelets and buckwheat pancakes are really good. Once in a while get burgers here, my favorite is the chili cheese burger. The service is great and quick plus kids love coming here because of the atmosphere and decorations. read more

Breakfast: My breakfast was so bland and boring that I had to force myself to eat it. I think the cheese was that processed stuff. I dumped tons of salt and pepper on my omelet to try to compensate, didn't help. Lunch: Get a burger and you'll be happy. They're good. If you love planes this is the place to eat. I've eaten at the Sky Kitchen with my kids when we visit the Hiller Museum, and they love it, but the other day a co-worker wanted to plan a team lunch and asked me where we should go. Me: "I only know one restaurant near Redwood City that isn't closed. The Sky Kitchen." I figured he'd go off and ask someone else. But no, the invite lists Sky Kitchen. The restaurant is small, so as we get to 12 people coming I start to wonder if it's going to work out. Turned out it was no problem. Better than no problem. Despite being completely packed when we arrived, the Sky Kitchen staff rearranged tables to seat us all together. The menu had something for everyone, vegetarians, meat-eaters, breakfast, lunch, everyone was happy. Not a single complaint about the food (and some of us can be picky) and the bill was reasonable. I was excited to go here hearing they had great omletes and pancakes. The place is clean. The owner likes to push her other two restaurants, Omelet House and Pauls. We were very disappointed. The food, omlete and pancake were all below average. I ordered corned beef hash and all it was was chopped up, thinly sliced, cheap lunchmeat. It was absolutely AWFUL! Will not go there again. In the barren food wasteland surrounding the office I was pleased to find the Skyway Kitchen just a stones throw away on the recommendation of fellow Yelper Dave K. Super friendly staff and a clean environment were a great start and gave me confidence. The corned beef hash with eggs made such a good breakfast that I returned for lunch and had the board special, a shrimp Louis salad, which was fresh and delicious. The fare is good rather than outstanding and would have earned itself three and a half stars but I give the extra half star for the fast and friendly service. I'll definitely be back later this week for one of the tempting omelettes that kept passing by to other tables or maybe the fresh-looking sandwiches and fries. The Skyway kitchen offers excellent value for money and is a comfortable and friendly place to hang out. read more

This restaurant has been our go to weekend brunch place for many years. Food is good, servers are genuinely nice and hardworking. But this Sunday we received a bad service which resulted in waiting 50 minutes for our table because their waiting list got mixed up, had to ask many times repeatedly for another set of utensils for our daughter even after her dish, and finally a missing order of extra toasts that came later badly burnt. I am leaving a bad review so that the new management of our favorite restaurant realizes there are some degradations in the service quality and address them quickly. read more

Food-wise, it's your basic diner/greasy spoon place. With these becoming few and far between, it's always nice to have a good ol' Breakfast of eggs Sunny side, hash browns, sausage and toast. Your basic. My group was all happy with their meals, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes. We were a group of 6 so we sat in the outer area where this is just one table. It was nice because we could be louder and not worry about disturbing others. We were never rushed and had a pleasant time. What gives this place the 4th star, is the location. Nothing around but the air field and you get to watch small planes take off and land and the regulars (recreational pilots to coast guard) hanging and chit chatting. To me, this is what makes it. Then when they looked at the list they skipped my name, I guess they knew I wasn't a regular. Overall not a good experience. We went here after church last Sunday. There was a short wait (maybe 10 min) for 11am on a Sunday. Not bad at all. The place is super small and if you have a large party it may be tricky. We were 5 and it was fine, but more than that and it may be hard....I have to take away a star because the place wasn't very clean...the table was sticky and had crumbs on it when we were sat....the salt and pepper shakers and silverware were a little grimy too... but overall the place seemed on par for a "diner" type breakfast place. Our waitress was SUPER sweet. Very good server! Wish I knew her name! In fact she is one reason I would go back. Great service! Our food was really good. We all enjoyed our breakfast. HORRIBLE!!! I ordered through door dash today for lunch. I ordered a CHICKEN cesar salad. When I received my food I thought it was awful light even for a salad. There was no chicken and the salad itself was made of the bottom parts of the lettuce, a majority of which was wilted and brown. The dressing had an extremely heavy vinegar taste and smell. I will never order from Sky Kitchen again! read more

Ok maybe I went on an off day, because I don't understand how this place has such good reviews! Service sucked.....my brother asked how big the steak was and the waitress said "I don't know! But don't expect anything big!" with no smile on her face, nothing, dead serious! I felt rushed to order.....and rushed to leave. Hate that feeling! Then they forgot my potatoes, so they brought them out at least 5 minutes after the rest of the food. Annoying! I seriously could have made a better breakfast at home. OH and the only difference between the hash browns and country potatoes are green onions thrown on top! I didn't feel as if it was that clean.
