I've used Skip's for 30 years for special occasions & Christmas flowers because they can get not so common flowers you find at Publix or Trader Joe's. My husband ordered some dendrobium orchids for our anniversary last week and they were dropping buds within 3 days, they should last 2-3 weeks. My husband stopped by and they kindly offered to arrange a replacement. He showed up w/yellow chrysanthemums , white baby daisies and yellow roses, pink snapdragons w/some alstroemeria's. Orchids are exotic and unusual...why would they replace the arrangement made w/common flowers in yellows for an anniversary? Disappointed. read more

My family tried to send me Mother'a Day flowers which turned out to be a disaster. The delivery girl was "totally put out" because I was not home. She would not deliver them to my mother's house who lived 5 min. away. She was so rude. They should have tried to deliver them to a neighbor. My sister and her date needed a corsage and boutonniere day before prom and they where both beautiful and tasteful. (And a few $ cheaper than the florists around!) I can't say enough about Skips, and specifically, Linda. I am new in town and was getting married so I used a florist near me (not Skips). Well, my wedding day came and I went to pick up my bouquet, and SHE DIDN'T MAKE IT! Also did the have any flowers I had asked for. So I call Skips and Linda was SO helpful! She gave me the flowers I needed for my hair, and brought me back to the cooler to pick out flowers I liked for the bouquet. Within a couple hours, my bouquet was ready, and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. I only wish i had known about Skips to begin with.
