The weird thing about this place was they didn't sell cough drops.......ended up buying his cough drops at a gas (petro) station. Other than that was a clean store, great customer service and overall good experience.

Our chemist is Bourke's, a long standing practitioner in the area. Over the years, they have given great service to us and to the community in general, always checking the prescriptions (doctors do make errors) and always willing to give advice on problems. This kind of service stood them in good stead when Bourke's joined the recent half baked strike by many of the country's pharmacies; fortunately it didn't last long and the customers, some not at all happy with the strikers, were nonetheless glad to came back to the familiar service and high standards of Bourke's.

I ended up getting a discovery kit and the lovely salesperson printed out a custom label for me and threw in some tiny sample vials. It made me a fan for life and the little custom label indicating where I bought it is the only reason I remembered where I bought it. They were near closing and I wasn't rushed out, 5 stars for customer service.

Perhaps not the most inexpensive, but there's a fantastic selection and everything is well stocked. Besides, it seems kind of silly to buy some things here and others down the street at LIDL.

The traditional Grand Parade venue (trading here for over 120 years) are celebrating their re-opening at present and the customers are winning. Last Saturday, I bought myself a pair of classy runners for just €20.00. Hard to beat that and, besides, the friendly service is as good as ever.
