1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed…read more I hired this attorney to handle the probate of my mother and father. He was paid in full before providing services--something I now consider a major red flag. My father's probate was filed on July 2, 2025. After my mother's probate was completed and her Letters of Administration were published beginning March 18, 2026, I repeatedly contacted the attorney by text and email asking about my father's case. Getting answers was extremely difficult. I eventually contacted the probate clerk myself and discovered that documents were missing and the court had already mailed my attorney a letter notifying him of the missing documents. I ultimately received my father's Letters of Administration to publish beginning July 1, 2026--nearly a year after the case was filed. This delay had a real financial impact. I could not get the deed transferred into my name in time to apply for the homestead exemption before the deadline. When I questioned the attorney about the delay, his response was: "No time tables at all with probate. They take their sweet time." I understand that courts have their own timelines. What I expected from the attorney I paid in full was to monitor the case, address outstanding documents, communicate with me, and keep the process moving. Instead, I had to repeatedly chase him for updates and ultimately contact the court myself to find out what was happening. Probate is already difficult when you're dealing with the loss of both parents. Having to fight for basic communication from the attorney I hired only made it worse. In hindsight, paying the entire fee upfront should have been my first red flag. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney for probate.

I would not recommend anyone engage with this firm thanks to Elaine Levine. She was incredibly rude…read moreand disrespectful with me as I tried to share with her a sensitive legal matter regarding a deceased family member. She repeatedly cut me off as I was talking, asking questions with roughness which I would have shared if she just let me talk. I never even got to state my request. PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS OF ELAINE LEVINE TO SAVE YOURSELF ANGUISH, TIME AND MONEY…read more Please take the time to read this to save yourself from needing to pay again for a different attorney. As a doctor speaking, I rarely give negative reviews to other professionals. In researching an attorney to prepare our wills and trusts, I did read the one negative review for this attorney prior to hiring her and brushed it over. It ended up being a perfect synopsis of our time with Elaine. (Most positive reviews for this firm are for her partner, whom we never met). Let me explain our circumstances. We hired Elaine Levine to prepare trusts and wills for out family. Initially, Elaine was courteous and did exactly what she said she would do. She was friendly, supportive and very easy to reach. She responded well to our numerous questions in a timely and efficient/effective manner. UNTIL she wasn't present for the final signing and we were rushed through the process. Witnesses were present and signed each document PRIOR to any reviews or signatures on our part as they were "in a hurry". We raised objections but they were quickly dismissed. We asked for detailed explainations of each document we were signing and felt very rushed. The final wills were never presented for review. We were told by the person filling in (?who she was, she introduced herself once but we never got a clear understanding, ? think she was some kind of assistant) near the conclusion of the meeting that she was in a hurry and needed to go to pick up her kids! Elaine was sick, but had been sick over a week. The practice clearly had time to notify us to reschedule. All for naught; we wasted $3,500 on USELESS wills and trusts that need to be redone by a special needs attorney for our son's special needs trust. Elaine was very well aware that we needed a special needs trust from the beginning and she (copiously) informed us she was NOT a special needs attorney. However, we had no idea of the implications of this (special needs attorney should always be seen FIRST to avoid wasting your time and money). We felt abandoned after our final meeting and then the relationship with Elaine turned hostile when we confronted her with the situation regarding her having to have KNOWN that the special needs trusts need to be done FIRST. Despite our reaching out regarding changes of beneficiaries not going througg and a request to review a brief 2 paragraph letter to family explaining what the documents were, we were rudely rebuffed by Elaine that her services had been concluded. The percentages of distribution to our non-special needs children in the conduit trust was INCORRECT. When we tried to rectify this, we were told in no uncertain terms that our relationship was now "concluded" (ie, payment had been received, I assume) - leaving us with INCORRECT, useless documents. Would definately NOT RECOMMEND Elaine Levine!!!! I should add that a while after everything was completed (we thought), an associate in her office reviewed our file and reached out to say a part of the paperwork was never received. This paperwork was mailed to us and when I called back for further instructions, Elaine got one the phone and was exceptionally rude, stating that since she read my review on line and knew how I felt about her, she wouldn't be helping us any longer and that we could just keep the unsigned paperwork her office sent. She made it clear that she had NO INTENTION of completing our file. She made sure all communication thereafter was terminated. HORRIBLE PROFESSIONALISM!!!!!!! What a waste of time and money!!!! Sickening.

"Of course he's upset. He's a lawyer - he's paid to be upset." The Fortune Cookie (1966)…read more I was in a car accident at the end of October - I was a couple of car lengths behind a flatbed hauling an old, burnt out bulldozer. Suddenly, a panel came flying off like a Frisbee at my head - evasive action meant it hit the passenger side windshield instead of my head - thank heavens. However, I was hurt, as was my car. I needed a personal injury lawyer. Ed is a stand up guy - he kept me informed of how the process would work and what to expect. He told me what I should and shouldn't say when called by the insurance guys. He walked me through everything. After months of medical treatments for my jacked up neck and shoulder and my car getting repaired (and then repaired again), it was time to get all the documents in order and Ed to do his thing. This meant I didn't have to do anything. I just waited for phone calls telling me what the newest offer was and we discussed if I should accept or not. By the end, I got a good offer (and we knew it was the last). I didn't want to deal with going to court, but I could have if I wanted. By the way, settled in June. Not bad considering we predicted it could take a year. Super happy with Ed handling my case. All I had to do was go into his office at the end, sign some paperwork and get my check. Easy peasy. Hopefully I won't need him again, but if I do, I know it will be this easy again.
