The people are nice, the ice is good, and parking is ample. This is not a destination arena, more function than fashion. I give it 4 stars for the friendly people, serving locally made 1919 Root Beer, and the green, gold and white chairs in the stands that the locals told me came from the old Met Center ice arena, home to the MInnesota North Stars some years back, in Bloomington, MN. This might just be something they tell people from out of town like me. Either way, I like the story.

This is a great arena. Two sheets of ice. Large parking lot. Lots of room inside to watch, wait or…read moremingle. The main rink is the best part of the arena. It's classic curved roof, wood structure with ample seating on both sides including back rests on many seats! The second rink is perfectly functional. It's a rectangle second rink, locker rooms, stands opposite the player benches. A fine place to watch hockey. Like I said, the main arena here is the feature, this arenas best asset. There are TVs in the main lobby (between both rinks and heated) for those time you are waiting for someone. They have skate rentals. The concessions are one of the better setups located on the back side of the rink comfortably tucked within the enclosed heated area with views of rink 1. (While it's by know means perfection it has better hot coco than most other rinks we visit) Fyi: Rink 2 is about 10 degrees cooler than rink 1.
