I am disgusted after visiting Pure Skin Clinic. My husband purchased a Groupon for me for Mothers…read moreDay. I didn't think he hated me... I just walked out of this establishment.... Not only was my wait a half an hour for a appointment (left work for this). The customer service was excruciatingly rude. Once in the room, the bedding was disgusting, oily and in a room that is CLEARLY not big enough to massage in. I would be surprised if it passed any type of health regulations. Firstly I was told and forced to "sit" down in the waiting area. ( I wanted to stand, as I had many things pending and now running half hour behind ) ... you can see how I was already not relaxed after being told to sit like a dog. (she would not let me stand ??) Then after the state of the room, I just walked out. There is no way on the planet earth that I would lay down and relax on that bed after all that. Needless to say this ruined my day and my gift from my husband.

Absolutely dreadful customer service, especially from the salon manager. I was absolutely appalled…read moreby the way she treated me, & I would NEVER visit this salon again I was taken through for my 60 min Facial 5 mins late & finished 10 mins early, & didn't receive any kind of client consultation, written or verbal. My therapist clearly did not carry out a skin analysis, as she applied balancing products for oily skin types onto my face, when I have a sensitive to dry skin type. As a result, my face had a burning sensation during & after treatment. This lasted for 4 days, & even over a month later my skin still feels nippy around my cheek area. I didn't feel my therapists standard of work was adequate, and really did not enjoy the facial at all. Before leaving, I explained why I was not satisfied to the salon manager/owner. She was not interested in resolving the situation whatsoever. My opinion clearly didn't matter to her, so I left, disappointed. My friend, who accompanied me for the same facial with another therapist, really enjoyed hers. It was carried out completely differently to mine. Two days after my treatment, I called the salon to inform them that I'd had a burning sensation on my skin, since receiving the facial - The salon manager rudely interupted the conversation I was having with the therapist & began SHOUTING down the phone at me, telling me never to call the salon again, before hanging up on me! I called back, only to be hung up on AGAIN... A few minutes later, the therapist I'd been originally speaking to called me back - She took my email address & said she'd have someone contact me with regards to the matter. To this day, no one has ever contacted me... obviously I was fobbed off again, so its a good job I didn't believe her at the time. This was the worst treatment I've ever received

I've had my hair cut here a few times when my flat was across the street. Always easy to pop in…read morewithout an appointment and they were always able to fit me in that day. So, when I decided to try a different look, this is where I came. After a chat with the stylist, we agreed some colours (nothing too drastic) and then we were off. A shampoo, a beer, a cut and colour, then popped under the heater to let it develop (see pic of me with foils in my hair on the business page). A further trim and style and I was very pleased with the final result. It wasn't cheap, and I was there for a few hours having to endure Katy Perry screaming from a small screen next to me throughout - while this didn't totally ruin the day it could have been better. And did I mention the dogs? A couple of white fluffy Bichon Frise that frequent the reception desk - uber cute! Too expensive for me to go to every month, but would go back for a change of style and take their advice.

I've been going here for years, travelling quite a distance, particularly from London just to get…read moremy highlights sorted. This time round, my hair was not done to the correct standard. I'd traveled 7 hours the Friday night in order to arrive for my appointment early the next day. I booked a Airbnb for the weekend and was due to leave very early on the following Sunday. When I left the salon at around 1:50pm, I arrived at my air BnB around 2.30pm and then I had a proper look at my hair in the natural light which is when I realised my hair was done to a poor standard (I took pictures asap). My roots were very light, and the rest of my hair to my tips were a faded yellow and underneath my hair was brown as not many highlights were put through (even though I paid for a FULL head of highlights). Admittedly, I was anxious and very embarrassed to call them to let them know having just left the salon shortly before. Further to this, they told me they shut at 5pm that day and I had to leave very early that morning so I knew nothing physically could have been done. I was also put off from past experience as a few years ago I complained to them that my hair wasn't done correctly, (this was before I started getting my hair done by Ryan) and the owner Ellen's reaction was confrontational and made me feel uncomfortable and had a very annoyed look on her face which made me wonder why I've even bothered saying anything at all. I remember how all the staff were gathered around when Ellen was checking my hair as if to say I was making it up. It was really not a nice position to be in as it was clear my hair wasn't done correctly, similarly to how it was done recently. Anyways, back to my recent hair treatment, I got an email asking me to leave a review shortly after I arrived at the air BnB. So I thought, you know what, I'll leave a review explaining that my hair wasn't done right in hopes I can avoid confrontation and that they would show some understanding and contact me. I didn't hear anything until the following Monday and by that point I was already at home in London. As my hair wasn't done right, I planned to get it corrected so asked Ken if he could provide me with the product info that were used in case the next salon needed them. Ken provided it however, in terms of a solution, he did not. He knew I wasn't going to be able to drop everything to drive 7 hours again to get my hair fixed as this takes a lot of planning and costs money which explained. I sent Ken pictures of my hair and asked for a response and a partial refund. I didn't get a response so I sent another email to which he replied 'Hi Ani, Further to your recent email. I discussed the photos with Ryan and we both agree that it looks like you've washed the toner out of your hair. To that end we cannot take this further and consider the matter closed. Regards'. I was really shocked by this as I never washed my hair. How silly would it be to spend nearly £250.00 which included treatments etc to then wash my hair? No way I did that and I've proof through the timestamps of my pictures. I decided to call them with the encouragement of my partner and Ken was nothing short of unprofessional. I explained to Ken that I left a review and was waiting for someone to get back to me to which he responded 'Im not some sad person Ani who sits and waits for reviews'. In all honesty, that's the first thing the company should be doing if they care about their reputation!!! I asked for a partial refund as I wanted to be fair and Ken replied 'No way I'm doing that'. Ken proceeded to speak over me and said I washed my hair even though I explained that some of the photos show that my hair is greasy not wet. My hair is naturally curly so if I washed it, you'd be able to tell! Ken was so rude and spoke to me in such a disgusting manner. He offered £50.00 refund lol which I accepted as it's better than nothing. But due to the fact that he dealt with this matter so badly, I will never go there again. So much for putting their customers first. If anyone wants to see evidence, let me know!
