This was a very dissapointing dining experience and I will not be returning to this location. We had to send our steak back twice after we had ordered it well done. After the 2nd time that it came back and was burnt on the outside and still very bloody and in that state would be impossible to chew we asked for a new steak to be cooked properly rather than keep trying to cook the same steak over and over. I ordered an unsweetened ice tea and even after adding lemon and sugar was impossible to drink, it tasted like old brewed tea. I ordered the salad bar and started with a salad. I then went to go get the hot food items which looked appetizing until I took a bite and the meatball was cold, the pasta was cold, the chicken wings cold, the meat for tacos cold. Basically, everything was cold. I told the waitress who said she'd tell the manager. I waited and then went to go see if they fixed the problem when I got to the hot food area a girl was testing the temperature, I asked her if it was hotter and she said no it was testing cold, she said something was wrong. I told her my family has finished eating I can't make them wait while I wait for hot food and I asked for a manager, she said she'd get him for me. I waited and waited and no manager. I then went to the register and asked for a manager and the general manager came out, I asked him for a salad bar refund, he asked what was wrong and I told him all the food is cold. He asked if I ate and I said all I had was a salad and he said, "well, it's a salad bar all you can eat" I said I'm not going to pay almost $14 for just a salad. I can't enjoy any of the hot foods and I told him they said the food was cold when they just tested it. He basically proceeded with a line of questioning which insinuated I was lying. He wanted to know what I ate, how many times had I gone to the salad bar, why hadn't I said anything before. I informed him I told my waitress and the person checking the temperature, it's not my fault they didn't inform you. I felt insulted by him, instead of apologizing for my experience, he was being rude, condescending and his form of questioning was accusing. After going back and fourth with him he then said he didn't want to argue so we went to the register and he proceeded to give me $10 and some change in cash. I informed him this was incorrect, a salad bar is almost $14. He then had the nerve to tell me he deducted the salad I ate, basically the lettuce with dressing! I was appalled and immediately became angry, I informed him he had horrible customer service skills and after my horrible experience he's actually going to charge me for lettuce! I told him I would need to speak to his superior as this was unacceptable, he immediately said he'd give a full refund but it was beyond that for me. He was beyond unprofessional, made no attempt when I initially informed him of the problem to correct it, he immediately had gone on the defensive and was very insinuating with all his questions. I believe he's perfectly aware there's an issue with the food being kept warm because the girl testing the food said there was a problem. What kind of establishment serves hot Buffett food cold, what about food safety? I should not have been treated in that manner and that general manager should not be in any position where he needs to deal with customers, he lacks the professionalism and the skills to be competent to ensure a customer has a positive dining experience. read more

My husband and I loved Sizzler salad bar. Fresh and good varieties to choose from and we eats there on weekly basis. BUT this review is on their 6 oz Certified Angus Sirloin Steak, they were so bad that I will never order steaks again from Sizzler because I had ordered three times of their Angus grade steaks and they were the worst steak I ever had or even for my dogs!! My last Sizzler steak experience was one week ago! I ordered 6oz steak and unlimited shrimps. The steak came out not fresh or red looking, when I cut through the beef, inside rim had freezer burnt! The medium rare steak does not looked red or pink! It looked as old steak had been in the freezer for weeks and had it quick throw out! It was tough and chewy and no beef taste at all! Suddenly I saw my next table had lobster and steak dinner, her steak was so fresh and so much appetizing! So, I called the manager on duty and complained about my 6 oz steak, why was it so much different? Regardless steak with lobster or shrimp, when advertised Angus steak served, it needs to be the same quality Across-the-board! They can not throw it low grade old steak just because the price was cheaper. The manager insisted my steak were the same with the other table and did not even offer a replacement! I had much better steak at Mel's steak breakfast!! In final, my dogs got sick on stomach after they eaten the steak for dinner. I liked Sizzler and I want them continue to survive and do well in Manteca. Sizzler, please stick with the Certified Angus Steak quality as you had advertised! read more

The restaurant itself is really nice. It fits more people than other Sizzler's, but I do have a couple big complaints about the restaurant and food. For being a new restaurant the place was filled with bugs. There were little gnats or something on all the windows and they'd fly around the food. It's pretty gross. As for the food, the hamburger was terrible. I had ordered it cooked medium and as soon as I received it I automatically knew it was well overcooked. But that's not my issue with the hamburger. My issue was that it was fake processed meat. I felt like I was eating an Oscar Mayer burger. I guess Sizzler is mainly known for its sea food, so maybe I'll try it out next time, but the bug issue needs to be fixed soon. read more

The line wasn't too bad when we decided to join it. We waited about 30 minutes, which was longer than we thought we'd wait. We ordered our food and we were seated. I went to the salad bar and was very impressed. Next time I will order just the salad bar - everything from soup to dessert. Our food arrived and my husband's porterhouse was done the exact way he ordered it. I ordered salmon which was good but the accompanying baked potato was cold. They put a glob of butter inside the potato and it never melted. My husband's was the same way. The restaurant just opened a week ago so there are still kinks to iron out but we will be back. read more

First of all, the staff was friendly and helpful but, I think they are overwhelmed. My wife and I placed our order and we were seated. It took 15 minutes to get the water we ordered. Waitress could not serve me beer because she is underage-longer wait. My wife ordered steak (medium), lobster and baked potato (no onion/chives due to allergies). Steak showed up well done with a stick pin that said medium, baked potato was loaded with chives/green onion. Brought the issues up with waitress first and she ordered a new potato. Manager sent back the steak but my wife and I finished our meal before steak was replaced. My wife had to ask 4 times for horseradish for her steak even though she asked at the time we ordered/paid and when we received our water at the beginning of meal. We ended up taking the steak home since it came after we finished. Asked for a to go box and waited 10 minutes before I had to hunt someone down to get a box so we could leave. This was our second visit in 2 weeks and I believe our last. I appreciate the opportunity to vent and I hope management uses our experience and a learning tool. read more

4th visit. Half way thru my meal, get up and go to salad bar. When I return the bus boy has cleaned off the table and took the tip I was going to leave. Plate still had a full steak on it along with half the mash potatoes and the drink was about 2/3 full. Told the shift manager TWICE I was not leaving a tip and still didn't get all my money back. Poor service. My wife asked for toast and rolls as we were seated. Was told rolls were behind (in the oven) while watching rolls be delivered to 3 other parties who were seated after us (which they didn't even eat) served rolls. When i spoke with the manager and the server came back and said they were in the oven. Had the entire meal arrived about 30 min into the meal. Rest of the food/service was run of the mill. They were really good at first but the cleanliness and service has steadily declined. read more

On 6/30/2017 we had a party of 34 people. The manager was wonderful in accommodating us and making sure the staff was aware of our party. The waitresses were excellent in dealing with everyone's order, while still attending other tables. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with their service. Traveling through Manteca, Ca and decided to stop for lunch at this Sizzler location. I have eaten and many Sizzler Restaurants and found this location to be one of the best I have eaten at. The restaurant was very clean, well lit and hand a very inviting atmosphere. The salad bar was probably the best one I have seen ever. Great selection, everything looked fresh and no complaints on the taste. Perfect. The service was over the top. Shelby was my server & Cameron her back-up. The meal was timed perfectly. Too many time I have just finished making my salad and her comes the steak ( not at this location ). I had the perfect amount of time to enjoy my salad before my meal came. I had stopped going to Sizzler years ago because of a horrible experience in Stockton. Out of urgency we ate there and the Manteca location is very good . The server, Elizabeth, was very nice and attentive. The menu has gotten much better! The salad bar is very good. They have staff there to mix salads. Very good place!!! read more

This sizzlers is are favorite place for steak and salad always great service and food, the tri tip plate was outstanding and my son's ribeye was perfect. The Salad bar is one of the best in the business period my wife loves it. My daughter said her steak was the perfect size and cooked perfectly. Was sad to hear that Derek the manager had left he always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement, he will surely be missed. It was a busy Fathers Day and really hot and they still managed to make our experience fantastic! Derek greeted us by shaking my husband's hand and wishing him Happy Fathers Day then took our order smiling the whole time. We were seated immediately and Odalis was our server. EXCELLENT service from her. She had us check our steaks and mine (1/4) was over cooked. She took it back and a manager brought it back out. The steaks were phenomenal and they really cared about quality. We could not be happier. My husband and I were in Manteca last night and decided to treat ourselves to dinner out! We decided on Sizzler and by the end of our meal, we decided we had made a good choice! From our entry into the restaurant where we were greeted to when we exited, our service was great and the food was equally great! Our server, Cesar, was excellent. He was right on top of things. He had several larger parties, but you could not tell because he gave us service like we were his only table. He greeted us just as we were sitting down and checked our order with us and brought us our drinks right away. He also offered us some rolls which were fresh and nice and warm. I can't say enough good about the service he gave us. I had the salad bar which was stocked full of "yummy" things to taste. My husband had the seafood and was equally impressed. We even asked to speak to the manager who was very pleasant and sincere. She was probably busy, but gave us her time and listened to our praises of the food and Cesar's service. Definitely a place to go if you want good food and good service! Ask for Cesar! Oh yeah, and don't forget to try the hot apple crisp dessert! read more

This place is the best!! My family and I have eaten here so many times and it's never disappointing! Honestly all of the food is great and fresh here. Service is ALWAYS on point, the servers are so kind and never forget to check up on our table. I say their pricing is a little high depending on what you order but it's totally worth it. My favorite drink to get here is their mango lemonade! Since this place is newly built the inside is very clean and has nice decor. There's even enough tv's to look at if your bored at your own table lol. I have never had a bad experience here so far with the food or the workers. Definitely worth eating here! read more

Ever felt like you are being watched? Well, that was how our dinning experience was. My family and were trying to enjoy dinner for my dad's birthday, but just kept getting "checked on." The first few times the wait staff came by to check on us, we were like "wow, such great service," but after the 5, 6, 7....time it became excessive. I would say at least 10+ times in a 90 minute timespan . Even a senior level staff member came out to say "hi." I get that everyone is doing their jobs and I commend them for it. However, there is a fine line between great service and (not so subtlety) checking up on your customers to see if they are *ahem* stealing from the salad bar. It was difficult to enjoy our food in that kind of environment. Sizzlers is one of the "nicer" places to eat in town; however, this incidence was truly distasteful .
