We visited on a rainy Thursday afternoon and the place was packed! I can only imagine how busy it will get on a sunny summer day. The views from the top are outstanding and there are some chairs right on the balcony to enjoy the day while having a drink with friends. The cocktails (Gin and tonic) are also great. There is no dress code and casual clothes and sneakers worked out which was refreshing because the bar is really high end and I was concerned for a minute when we arrived. The only downside in my experience was that the service was not great. Maybe because the place was packed or maybe because the staff is just not super friendly, but i felt like we were brushed away and rushed. It is a gorgeous view on a great bar so I will definitely be going back

I stopped by on a Saturday early evening when it was raining, so there wasn't much of a crowd, but my sources tell me it's usually really busy. it's tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but I highly recommend this to anyone going out for an evening in the nearby area. Note: every alcoholic drink is priced at €8, so it's super easy to calculate your tab or split among friends. That's right, even your super-boozy Long Islands are just €8.

However if you don't know what I'm talking about, and you just love juicy and creamy cocktails, you will love the Bar Alexander. The bar is rather small and cozy and at the weekend evenings it gets pretty full. So if you intend to go there with a larger group, either be early or make a reservation.
