Love, love, LOVE this place. It doesn't matter if you're a complete stranger, you're immediately made to feel like a regular the second you arrive.
Alli and Ian are incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly and even if you don't actually live in Capistrano itself it's well worth the 5-minute drive (or ten-minute bus ride) up the hill to eat, drink and or be merry (bonus: free parking).
The food is delish (including an outstanding full English breakfast and an occasional sneaky Sunday roast, in case you're hankering for some home comfort). It's not all Brit-food though, not by far -- they've got a great menu with something for everybody, even that annoying vegan friend who's always complaining about nothing to eat in restaurants.
They have a wide variety in addition to tapas. And, you can get some real bang for your buck with the Menú del día, which includes three scrumptious courses for just 10 euros. Oh, and they give a very generous pour when it comes to adult beverages. Adding to the joy, there are karaoke nights and a pool table...hell to the yeah!
I accidentally stumbled across Sink or Swim -- not literally, although, in truth I did stumble out of it one night -- and immediately loved the food. Then I met Ali and Ian (and mom Helen) and now I keep returning for the wondrous hospitality just as much as the food and drinks.
Finally, they're very dog friendly...so pooch can even enjoy a pupachino or two whilst you get your chow/drink on.
Needless to say, I award it two forks up. Verdad. read more
