I'm writing this review while experiencing issues in Singular Joy. See my photos and videos. Reception downstairs makes it clear that they only handle the property's common areas. If there's a problem with your room, they tell you to contact your host on whatever agency you reserved with - Expedia, Booking, etc. My contact on Booking isn't responding to the problems and reception doesn't handle in room issues. There are tiny ants around the kitchen, on the kitchen counter, and around the couch. I've killed many. The shower is also the worst shower I've used while being a full time traveler for a year. Not only is there no hot water, there's almost no water at all! It basically drips water, it doesn't actually shower you. There's a pressure issue and a hot water issue. Weirdly, the water is hot in the kitchen and bathroom sinks. If you're staying in a room facing the street 1 Avenida Norte then expect to hear music until the bars close. It seems like a quiet street, it's absolutely not. My room isn't facing that street but I can still hear noise that's not loud enough to keep me up, but would be if I was along that road. And not as important: One TV doesn't work, and the other TV only receives two channels. That's actually so dumb it's funny! It's disappointing that there are so many problems because it's otherwise a very comfortable place. There's a full kitchen (just no oven), a very comfy bed, and the rooftop is wonderful. This is a great example of a few issues ruining the experience that would otherwise be excellent. read more
