Great place! Great coaches! I initially sent my son to Georgia Martial Arts to learn. One year…read morelater, I started taking Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes along with my husband. Now I'm a blue belt. I appreciate all the classes, techniques, concerns, and mindset from Professor Shawn, Ian, Leo, and other instructors. They have been so patient and humble. And they are good with both kids and adults classes. At Georgia Martial Arts, I have started making good friends with great people from all kinds of industries. This is my sanctuary where I have become healthier, more humble, and found peace.

I have a full time job, so I try to make at least 2 classes a week, & practice at home as much as I can. It takes some dedication and appreciation for learning, but it has been really fun being able to tell people I'm learning the sword over the past year. The instructors are absolutely amazing, and each of them have their own way of pointing out how to get better in an encouraging way. The class is fairly small usually, so getting personal attention is pretty regular. I would totally recommend learning some basic Japanese before starting if you can help it (numbers 1-10 for sure, basic directions like right and left, and check out shinkendo.com for some other vocab & general info). Get the book that they recommend immediately - it's helpful for reference. Overall, I'm super happy I ended up here & looking forward to continuing my training!

I've also never attended the gym so much in my life. I go six days a week and the personal attention and detailed instruction will keep me there for many months to come. Every coach is very knowledgeable and friendly and make me really enjoy this place. I especially love that I am learning moves that could help me in real world situations. I love that so much that I signed my son up as well. I used to pay $80 a month for 2 classes a week for a local martial arts class. But here I pay less than that for unlimited classes and feel confident that he too is learning realistic self defense that can be used against anyone trying to harm him vs. moves that he could only use if the person attacking him was a student of that same type of martial arts. And if boxing, mma, kickboxing, or jujitsu are not your thing... the boot camp classes are very intense. Appropriately named the "Sweat class" Update*** new classes have been added!! The new strike XT class is awesome!!

This place is stealing yet another $60 from my bank account right now as I type. How so you ask? Because, whenever I called to cancel, I was forced to leave messages for the only person who handles cancellations. It's funny how he doesn't respond until bank draft day. He's ghost until then. In addition, the corporate office is of absolutely no help whatsoever.
