I have been wanting to try this place for a few yrs and I finally made it! My good friend met me for lunch here. I am obsessed with all Asian food, but Thai is by far my fave. As soon as I saw they had a patio, I got excited as I love eating outside and yesterday was the perfect weather for it. We went inside and requested outside seating. When we walked in, I fell in love with the inside vibe. Very cozy, intimate and beautiful artwork. We decided to order: Veggie spring rolls appetizer Las Vegas sushi roll Tempura crab roll Spicy drunken noodles with chicken (no carrots) Khao Poon Soup Pros: Beautiful presentations for each dish Flavorful Good customer service Ensured our drink glasses were never empty Awesome and nice size patio with umbrellas Clean bathroom Beautiful inside decor Great vibe Cons: The drunken noodles was good and I would get it again, but I have had better. It could have been a tad bit more Flavorful, but that may (or may not) have something to do with the spice level or lack thereof.

Steak pad thai

Called and made an order for pickup so I obviously had to go the restaurant to grab it. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. Also has a nice patio for people to sit outside when the weather is warmer. Staff was very nice during my brief time there. Ordered the steak pad thai... the cost... $26! Now I've paid more than that for entrees before with no problem, but I thought this was a misprint. $26 for pad Thai?! Wasn't a misprint, paid $70 for a takeout order for 2 entrees (my pad Thai & one for my wife) and an appetizer. So my review of the food is based off the entree of pad Thai vs the cost they charge. It wasn't worth it. Didn't come with nearly enough steak for the price point. There's other options around for pad Thai that you can get for almost half the price, and taste the same. The pricing doesn't make sense to me... we all know if we order something off uber eats vs from a restaurant, it's cheaper when getting it directly from the restaurant. For here if you get a regular pad Thai entree, their menu says $21. On uber eats, $16. The juice isn't worth the squeeze to me.

Drunken Noodles

The service was great and the location was clean and orderly, with minimal noise disruption. The food however was mediocre. Portions were not as large for the price paid as one may expect, and an order of shrimp pad Thai arrived with some of the shrimp cold.

Summer Roll

I was passing through Burlington on my way to Pennsylvania, and decided to stop for the night... of course, I was hungry because I had been on the motorcycle for the past 10 hours or so. I also knew I needed something that was not plain-jane American fare, since the next couple of days was certainly going to be food of that nature and my stomach can only take so much lasagna style food. The hotel I was staying at was no use... they just recommended the local chain restaurants within walking distance, so it was up to Yelp to help me out with something a bit more exotic. Thankfully they had Simply Thai on the list of places, and that is where I went, despite having to traipse halfway across town to get there. Entering the premises is a bit odd, as I had to enter through the patio on the side, but no matter... I was greeted and seated in a short amount of time, and I had my order in promptly. I always get a surprised look when I order the spiciest you can manage with a curry, but I knew that in the middle of North Carolina I would need to order the maximum to have a chance at having any real spice. I was right... in my book it was about a medium, and I had to ask for the house chili sauce to kick it up a notch. The curry was good, despite my wishes that it be twice as spicy as it was. I also ordered the tom yum soup, which is an interest of mine because it seems that every restaurant that has it on the menu has their own little twist to it, so seeing how that plays out is always fun. In addition, I got some summer rolls as a starter because they always go down well. I really enjoyed this meal, and I went back to my hotel with a sated stomach that was now prepared to handle the blandness of the next couple of days.

Simply Thai is our sushi "old faithful" here in Alamance County. We always like to make reservations on the weekend, just in case they are overly busy. That way we don't have to wait for a table. We wanted to go out for date night and I was craving sushi, so Simply Thai was where we ended up. We went on a Friday night, and were seated promptly in an oversized booth, which was pretty nice. The actual interior of the restaurant is pretty small, but they have done a good job making it look nice. Our server's name was Austin, and he was just phenomenal. He didn't ignore us, but didn't worry us to death either by announcing every single thing that he was doing (i.e. "I'm going to top off your water"....my pet peeve). He had a very nice ability to read the table and anticipate our needs without asking us a million questions. More servers should have this skill. We come here fairly regularly, so we generally have a good idea what we want. For starters, we ordered the money bags and the Oh Baby shots. They are both super good, but I'm telling you now that the Oh Baby shots (it's a sushi roll) is a must order when you come here! We literally order it Every. Single. Time., and it never disappoints. The money bags are like little crab rangoons but they are shaped like tiny bite sized bags of gold. They come with a sweet dipping sauce. We enjoy ordering them. For the mains, I ordered the Golden Dragon Roll, and my husband ordered the Simp Roll (I failed to get the picture before he dug in....the presentation is much better than the picture reflects!). We both tried new rolls that we haven't had before, and both agreed that they were very good and the we would order them again. Bottom Line: Really good sushi, great service, nice atmosphere. Simply Thai maintains its long term spot on our list as one of the solid local restaurants here.

Lunch at Simply Thai Pad See-Eew I had asked for broccoli to be added.
Mikki W.

2-18-24 Lunch at Simply Thai I ordered my lunch and had to ask for chop sticks twice. My server gave me some push back when I asked for broccoli to be added to my dish. She said it comes with enough vegetables! When my meal came the broccoli was stone cold! I paid extra for. My lunch was $20 dollars! I'm just posting as lunches out are now expensive. Don't waste your money or time going here!! I will not go back!

Pad See-Eew

A hole in the wall place, but doesn't feel like it once you're inside. The Hawaiian Tropic Roll was average. I expected better for the price, but wow...the Pad See-Eww (with shrimp) blew me away. The noodles melted in my mouth and is why I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for that alone. I don't think of Burlington/Elon area as popping with amazing local restaurants, but this is a must eat at place. Service was great too and they always refilled my water.

Food was better today than last time but I do think it's very overpriced for the portions. Friendly service and they still have you going in the side door which is a hike for disabled patrons who have to park on the opposite side of the plaza. Their schedule is confusing. Every portal shows a different opening time. Google says 5 and Apple says 4. It says 5 on Yelp and their website says nothing. The online ordering on their site says 5 but they opened today at 4. Who knows. I hope they figure it out because I will never know to make plans for 4 if they're open then.

Vegetables, brown rice, and 14 hands Merlot. Delicious combination.

The inside was very loud so we sat outside. Beautiful setting. Pleasant service and good food.

Food and service is outstanding: it is a little pricey but worth it if you don't mind. Good variety of sushi and traditional dishes.

The best thai in the area. Portions are not as large as you would get at other restaurants, though. And, it is pricey.

Took long for the food. Thai Tea was watery, lemonade was watery, and a very toxic environment. (Besides our server, he was really nice)

Not good as it use to be. The food was cold and tasteless and the vegetables were undercooked. Way overpriced. I'll never go back.

There was an employee there chit chatting with a customer while we waited. She then walked away and said someone would be with us shortly. The stand was unattended and we weren't even sure we were in the correct spot. The opposite lot was full so we parked on the south side and thankfully got it right. It would be helpful to mark the entrance in case we parked the opposite side. The turn in going south has one turn on the opposite end. Plenty of parking. The place looks brand new: nice decor. Server Chelsea was very nice and helpful. She got a chicken pasta Alfredo and I got a shrimp and crab cake sandwich. The pasta was way overdone and mushy. It was even very watery. The chicken was sweet. Sweet chicken and Alfredo was pretty terrible. They said all the chicken has the sweet marinade. They should have specified that on the menu because we would have never ordered sweet chicken especially not with Alfredo sauce. The dish in my opinion was pretty bad. I would give that a 1.5/5. Mine was decent. I liked the dill sauce. The bun was sweet and small for the patty but it was ok. The fries were over salted but they came out piping hot and fresh. Would I eat there again? Probably not. It's a small menu with a lot of chicken dishes. Their signature sweet chicken sauce was a turn off for both of us. It was reasonably priced and the server was nice. Overall I have to give the place a 3.5/5. The waiting when we went in and having ro listen to an employee chatting with her friend was off putting while we waited. Had she acknowledged and said someone was coming would have been fine but she completely ignored us until she finished her conversation before saying anything and that was a good 2-3 minutes. The food was a 2.5/5 and the service from Chelsea was excellent. I can't say the same for the lady that ignored us. I give it a 3/5 for that reason. Rounding it up to 4 only because it was so clean and Chelsea's attendance

I've reviewed a lot of gas stations on Yelp:…read morehttps://www.yelp.com/collection/feP73QIFqpzHefu3txmGjg/Gas-Stations-and-Convenience-Stores. Off the top of my head, I can count on only one hand the number of gas stations that have special driveways like this Sheetz in Burlington does. If heading south down Maple Ave / NC 49, this Sheetz has a direct, one-way "exit" that puts you right onto the property. It reminds me of the RaceTrac on Peachtree Pkwy / GA 141 in Peachtree Corners, Georgia: https://www.yelp.com/biz/racetrac-peachtree-corners. This is Sheetz store #592. It's located just off of I-85 / I-40 exit 145: NC 49 - Downtown Burlington, Liberty. It's an OK stop to fill up at if you're traveling between the Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem) and Triangle (Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh). Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-85 and I-40 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exit numbers are 131-163. Sheetz is known more for their convenience stores with "MTO" made-to-order food than they are for their gas stations (e.g., gas prices, amenities). Currently, Sheetz is only in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company is headquartered in Altoona, PA. I remember my first experience at the Sheetz on Wendover Ave in Greensboro, many years ago. Multiple Sheetz stores have since opened and closed in my hometown of High Point: https://www.bizjournals.com/triad/news/2019/11/12/sheetz-to-close-high-point-store-because-of.html. The luster of the brand has long worn off on me, but I think it's still fine.

I had a fried mozzarella cheese stick, and they were good and had a light garlic flavor in the breading.
