I cannot recommend Simply Matchmaking highly enough. Ali and her team are extremely talented, supportive, flexible, professional, and their commitment to their clients is never in doubt. As someone who hadn't had much dating experience going into my membership, I appreciated their combination of warmth and straightforwardness as they helped me to think both about I wanted out a relationship as well as what I could offer. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, you're going to get grilled with a lot of deep (and occasionally uncomfortable) questions to help them match you better. Yes, the feedback you get after dates can occasionally make you a little self-conscious. But you're paying for quality, and if you aren't willing to do a little soul-searching to get your money's worth why are you even bothering? Also, knowing in advance that the people you're going to meet have been vetted, and that their must-haves and dealbreakers already match up with yours, that they aren't an axe-murderer, is such a relief, especially if you've ever had your dignity dragged through the mud by the world of online dating. Every young lady I met was intelligent, passionate and friendly, and even if there wasn't a spark I always walked away feeling as if it had been time well spent. Finally, to all you people reading this review and considering her service, I say to make sure your expectations are set accordingly. Ali and her team may be matchmakers, but that doesn't mean they have the man or woman of your dreams, the one with the perfect butt or who is exactly 6'3, sitting conveniently on a shelf somewhere. They will absolutely do an excellent job of matching you up with people they genuinely believe would be a good fit for you, and it will most likely be a good fit, but the onus is on you to realize that this is not an exact science and nor are you "owed" a relationship just because you paid a lot of money. Keeping an open mind and open heart about every person you meet is essential, and if you can't do at least that much you'll only have yourself to blame if you walk away feeling bitter. Personally I did not end up finding the woman of my dreams with her service (at least not yet), but instead of being angry or unsatisfied I'm appreciative for the experience, for all the highs and lows, and for everything I've learned along the way. read more

After being single for a while, in a smaller town outside of Seattle, and trying different online dating services (Match, POF, etc), I started looking online for matchmaking services that connect you with other singles that had their lives in order - many on the typical sites did not. Simply Matchmaking kept showing up in searches as well reviewed and well received by others, so I gave Ali a call and ended up,after meeting with her, gaving her a try. After the initial interview with Ali, and yes, it's her and not some employee, I was convinced to give it a shot and I'll say since I don't live in Seattle I knew I'd be tougher for her to figure out than others. Still, after our talk I had confidence that it was worth the shot. It took a few dates, and some back and forth with Ali to get on track with what I was looking for, but that is part of the process. She was always accepting of my feedback and in fact sought it out. She was also good with constructive criticism and delivered it in a nice and professional way. I trusted her advice, and as it turns out, thankfully so did the girl I'm happy with today. Dating is tough, no matter who you are and where you are in life. No matter your income, aspirations, personal preferences, goals, location, etc..and having a matchmaker who takes the time to listen and understand you as well as the possible matches, who engages with you during the whole process, who listens to your feedback and adjusts for future dates is invaluable. I wanted a match that was fairly specific. I wanted someone who was advanced in their career enough to be financially stable, someone who was in shape and athletic/outdoorsy, someone who could enjoy a glass of wine or a great beer yet not be an embarrassment in a business situation and all of my dates met those criteria. If you are single this is the place to go to find love! Ali is an amazing person who takes immense pleasure in helping people find the love of their life, as she puts it. Ali spent a lot of time getting to know me on a very personal level, so I felt comfortable in her ability to find me a great match. I signed up for the 1 year 6 match plan, I knew love wouldn't be found instantly, so I just sat back and let Ali work her magic. Within a week or so Ali had my first match for me! She did a great job with my match, but that person just wasn't for me. After meeting the first match I knew that Ali was on to something and I had full faith in her to find me someone amazing. A few weeks later she emailed me with my next match, this match was a hit! With the feedback I provided her, she search diligently and found me an amazing women. I am a big fan of Ali and the Simply Matchmaking process. After being single for many years and not running into Mr. Wonderful at the grocery store or on a bike trail, I decided to take the bull by the horns and be more proactive about things. WARNING: If you are female and older than 40, don't waste your money here. OR, if the contract they give you to sign has no expiration date - aka: you may remain a member as long as you wish - don't waste your money here. WHAT THAT MEANS: They know they won't find you any matches, but they'll take your money anyway. My 2 younger friends who signed up with SM, one male and one female, were given different contracts from this one. They both paid more money to join than I did, both of their contracts had expiration dates, and, they both went on dates through SM. I am a female over 40, I was charged less to join than my friends, and I was given the contract with no expiration date. It has been a year and a half and I haven't had a date from SM yet. I can only suppose they charged me less than their other clients, and are able to justify taking my money because of their promise that they'd be on the lookout for possible matches for me forever. Personally, I think they took my money, went out to lunch on it, and haven't given me a thought since. ALSO, after I had joined, and not heard from them for many months, I reached out to say "Hey, how's it going? Just want to check in". They responded with an email that had no content in it but to remind me of my contract's non-refundable clause. So. Don't throw away your money like I did. read more

Working with Ali was an amazing experience. She set me up with so many amazing men. Although I haven't find my life partner yet, I made several new friends and I learned more about myself and what I need in a relationship. They are honest, authentic, and incredibly hardworking. They won't try to sell you something unless you actually want it, and you're not going to encounter any surprises in their contracts. I absolutely recommend working with SMM if you're serious about finding a partner. I'm really amazed at how Ali and her matchmakers have been able to identify people I would be friends with. Maybe more importantly, everyone that I've been set up with has had really good character. It's absolutely a better pool of dating matches compared to online dating. During my 6 month VIP membership, I was setup on 10 dates, 80% of which were promising enough for a second date. Two of those men I ended up dating for a few weeks and seriously considered pursuing a relationship. In general, I feel that SMM's picks are MUCH more compatible than men I would meet online or through other means. I met with Ali earlier this year to go over her matchmaking services and see if it would be something I was interested in. Let me tell you, Ali asked me some amazing questions that I hadn't thought about before. She really got me thinking. It was really stressful for me to choose and start working with a matchmaker. Ali was great, and once I met her I didn't worry any more about the process itself. She was up front with the financial and business side of things, and I think that her business model was as low stress as is possible for matchmaking. After frustration with online dating I can say the quality of matches is definitely superior to those I have met from the online sites. Ali is very good at steering you to keep an open mind. That's what happened to me. They say: We work hard to match you up, yet we don't guarantee that you will ever have a date through us - is totally shady. Think about it. That statement allows them to - - just take your money. Some people on here have written that they have never had a single date through simply matchmaking. Like me. Others say that they did have a date, but with a person who was so wrong for them. From what they said in their interviews it was someone they should not have been matched with.
