Very responsive to my requests the day of. Also, Fortune Talent was great to work with - very prompt in responding to emails (thank you Rich Orde). I had a lot of strange music requests, and was very particular in timing, and Rich assured me it would all be handled perfectly. It was, with the exception of my music starting at 3:40 instead of 3:30 prior to the ceremony. I believe this was a problem caused by my coordinator, however. As an aside, Fortune Talent also has an uplighting person - Chad Hendricks. Although I met with him, he didn't have the experience to accomplish the look we were going for, and didn't respond to emails. We ended up using someone else for the uplighting service as a result.

I first…read morefound Katy under Charizma Photography, and she returned my voicemail regarding a quiet courthouse wedding within hours (unlike days or never, like two others I tried). Katy assured me that she has shot hundreds of weddings, was married at the courthouse herself, and that we could easily get some beautiful photos at a non-wedding craziness rate. She was super personable on the phone and invited us to come by her studio to talk in person and see some of her work, which we did. We agreed on an hour for $300, including full digital rights, and she offered us an additional hour for $150, which we took her up on. Katy also volunteered that since her partner Tim was available, he would come along too to help with lighting and such. The day of, they came to our house as planned, followed us to the courthouse, and took us around town to some pre-selected spots (we asked for urban/industrial). They even had the perfect spot picked out to photograph the now-husband's car, on top of the Best Western's parking garage. Katy and Tim were both very laid back and fun to be around, but had tons of cameras and lighting equipment that they clearly knew how to use. They were also great at helping us pose in flattering ways, even when it seemed counter-intuitive (no dead hands allowed, chin down, kick a foot out, that kind of thing). When I asked, Katy told me that the photos would be available in 2-3 weeks (shorter than usual for a wedding, since this was more like an engagement shoot). Well, just 4 days after our wedding, the photos have arrived and I am BLOWN AWAY. Words cannot describe how incredible these pictures are. I am beyond thrilled to have such beautiful mementos of our day to share. I want to make an album, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be six inches thick to include every single photo, because they are all just that good. Seriously, this is far beyond the "decent snapshots" I told Katy I was after. We look relaxed, happy, and flattering, and I cannot wait to share the photos with everyone I know. If it's not already crystal clear, I would give Studio 708 a thousand stars if I could. If you need any kind of photography, give them a call. I promise it will be amazing!!!!

Incredibly disappointed by my entire experience. We booked them due to recommendations from friends…read morefor our 2020 wedding, which ended up not being able to happen due to government restrictions for Covid. We communicated that with them and had rescheduled for August, which was additionally shut down due to government restrictions. We then planned to re-book for May 2021, which after going back-and-forth multiple times with dates ended up getting switched to a different DJ group within the organization, which was fine. We were then told by our venue, Riverview Gardens, that they were no longer hosting weddings, but because we had a contract, they would host ours. We met with them in person and ultimately decided that they were doing it more out of obligation, and we didn't feel comfortable spending a large amount of money to host a wedding with a venue that wasn't excited about us hosting our wedding there. We had gotten married in August 2020 in a small ceremony that followed Covid restrictions and had planned on doing our big wedding as planned in May 2021. At this point, it was such a drawn out process and I wasn't excited about planning a wedding for the fourth time and starting the venue search again. I received a full deposit refund from Riverview Gardens and reached out to Yo DJ about getting a refund on our deposit of $875 via email. I had reached out multiple times and never received a response to the DJ's assigned to our event as well as the general email. This has been going on for multiple years and to be honest I probably should've been more on top of it, but it's just a constant reminder that I didn't get my dream wedding and still have my original wedding dress hanging in my closet unworn as well as all of our decor in my basement that was unused, so it wasn't necessarily at the top of my mind. After an email stating I would pursue legal action, I finally got a response from Cory who informed me that they were not willing to work with me on issuing that refund but instead they would work with me if I wanted to have them host a different event. Which makes no sense because we're not having a big wedding so I'm not sure what I would even use them for. Overall, very disappointed with the entire interaction and now I am out $875. I have two follow up emails out to Cory from his response, both of which have gone without a response.

Natalie was great at responding to my emails and answering my questions promptly, which was of the utmost importance to me. (It took days to hear back from other photographers we considered.) Ultimately, however, we decided on another photographer due to the price of their packages. I think they were very reasonable for what you get - two photographers for the day, a long engagement session, and a very well done album - but we had to cut the budget and decided on one photographer, which reduced the costs. If you do have a larger budget, however, Alex & Natalie are definitely worth it!
