So our loved one recently passed away and it was quite sudden so when leaving the hospital they provide you with a list of funeral homes and you need to make a decision within 24 hours of your loved ones passing! We first contact W&B because they came highly recommended and am I glad we did choose them! LaMonde Nixon the director was really patient with us and not judgmental of our family dynamics and dysfunction but helped us maneuver through the most difficult time of someone's life! From Ms. Norma at the front to Kayla everyone was so warm and understanding! As Mr Nixon was able to smoothly work with our insurance company and we found a plan that was suitable for our needs! So if you're ever in the need of a good funeral home and I pray that you won't be in a need any time soon but if you are I truly recommend Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home!

Shortly after, the hall opened and we were directed to the guest book and given a memorial program. Everyone we encountered was so warm and kind. The facility was clean and comfortable. Most of the parking is at the bottom of a hill, but there are a few regular and handicapped spaces near the entrance. The steps and ramp were cleared of the small snow we had, plus had ice melt laid as additional protection. #VH

I was on a mission to mark my grandmother's grave which had been that way for nearly 100 years. I'd heard she was there when I was 5 and knew, from the way people spoke, that being in an unmarked grave was a bad thing. I finally made the move to remedy this and the project didn't go well. Ultimately we got the marker placed, but the experience wasn't good to be nice. Seeing my first review, the Exec Director of Crown Hill reached out to me and wanted to learn about my experience. He was professional and apologetic and asked what could be done to make up for their mistakes. After discussions about what was possible, they offered to help me place a marker on another unmarked grave. This one was an aunt (my grandmother's oldest daughter) who had taken her life after a very turbulent life. This was another family story that was whispered about. The catch was that she was buried in Arizona, and of course, Crown Hill is in Indiana. The folks at Crown Hill reached out to my aunt's cemetery and learned they would accept a marker produced in another state and shipped to them. It may seem silly to want to mark a grave for someone you never met before. But my mother is 97 and still very vital. I hoped that I could remedy these two wrongs from the past and give her some solace. Earlier this month I made the trip to Phoenix to see the marker that arrived earlier that month. It's hard to express the feelings of relief and a peace that comes with helping their lives more fittingly remembered. No longer a couple of bare patches of ground, both now have a way for others to learn that they are there and lived lives that mattered to their families. From the deepest part of my heart, I want to thank the Crown Hill people that made this possible. It takes real caring to turn a major disappointment into a miracle. Thank you!

Our experience with Crown Hill Cemetery has been incredibly disappointing, particularly due to the…read morepoor customer service from Alex, Noe, Cameron, and office staff. In addition to being dismissive and lacking empathy during our initial interaction, Alex failed to follow up or communicate with us after multiple attempts on our part to get clarity and resolution. We reached out several times--by phone and email--and were never responded to. After multiple failed attempts, I was left to physically go into the office to request a status update. I was told by Dan in the office Alex was on "vacation". However, moments later, I saw him in the hall. This kind of deception is unacceptable in any setting, but especially disheartening when dealing with a cemetery, where families are already under emotional strain. Months and months later, (2 years now) more attempts, and repeated dismissal from this funeral home. Finally, a representative from the office, Cameron, called but he proceeded to go down a rabbit hole of lies. He stated he would need to speak with his boss, but he is on "vacation." The funeral home dropped the ball. That is the truth. As of today, there still hasn't been follow up from this office since the June conversation. For the price of a funeral and the grand reputation of Crown Hill, I would expect better. Crown Hill is a beautiful and historic place, but the lack of professionalism, compassion, deception, and accountability from staff has left us deeply frustrated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the need for better communication, empathy, and responsiveness in working with grieving families.

This is what I found at Greenwood Monument on US 31 between Payless Car Rental and Dairy Queen. I went with full intention of purchasing a beautiful water fountain for my yard that I'd seen online. I saw Kris closes at 6:00 pm and with my hubby's work scheduled recognized it would be close arriving before 6:00 pm. Even with him leaving work early we were still 15 minutes late but she waited...Thank you Kris!! Our plan was to spend 5 minutes, grab the water fountain I'd seen pictures of and let Kris lock the doors and go home. Once we were inside the stones and colors engrossed me and I started looking at all the beauty I found inside as well as outside. I so enjoyed all the different sizes and colors of water fountains, bird baths, and other stones monuments. I ended up walking out with two beautiful bird baths instead of the water fountain. I look at both every single day and still love as much as the minute I saw both. I couldn't decide between the two so I purchased both. So much easier, don't you think? Whether you need bird baths, water fountains, coffins or headstones, check out Greenwood Monuments. The prices are great, friendly service and just nice folks to work with.

They were to pass on fee to cemetery so that the base for tombstone could be poured. Money was never passed to cemetery so the base can not be poured. I don't know if we will ever get the tombstone we paid for or get our money back. Would not recommend this business.

Eric never pushed to "sell" us, he walked us through the options, made great suggestions and really listened to what we said about my sister. Our simple service, our viewing was tasteful and yet we were given all the time we needed to say our final Goodbye's. I also noticed, and later utilized, a bench out front near a standing ashtray. Through the double doors at the entrance was a large foyer with a vaulted ceiling that was well decorated. To the left, down a short hall, was the chapel where our friend was. The funeral home seemed large, airy and bright. I am not sure if there was more than one chapel, but the chapel we were in was quite big with many pews. I overheard some ladies remarking on what a wonderful job Little & Sons had done with their relative. They had said you would think they personally knew him with the touches they made. I believe that says quite a lot. The ladies' room was a bit cramped and possibly in need of a little maintenance, but was still nicely decorated as well and fully stocked. There was also a bench inside on which to sit. The toilet in the handicapped stall has some trouble flushing and they could upgrade to two sinks. When we first arrived, I noticed a lady at a desk off to the side that smiled at us, but we were not ever greeted by any staff like I have been at many other funeral homes. Overall, I thought it was a lovely place. I feel like Little & Sons would be a good choice for anyone in need of a nice sendoff for a loved one.
