After a series of disappointments, I have asked our building management not to use this office again. They issued a report claiming they'd tested 1st floor kitchen, stairway and conference room detectors as good (the 1st floor on this building is not even on the alarm system). They issued a report but declined to test heat detectors (one of which subsequently was found to have been installed wrong decades ago, meaning the given room (which has a fireplace) never actually had protection even though the alarm had been "inspected" many times). During an inspection they claimed the batteries were bad, and charged a premium fee to replace them. The actual problem was in the charger, leading to a non-functional alarm during the next power outage. My impression is this office takes advantage of customers who don't know better to charge premium prices for non-premium and hasty services. read more
